AFChief - I apologize for mentioning the Bro-Tek skid plate(s) without giving you ordering advice. Richard's website isn't the easiest to order from but he makes a top notch product. Go to Feedback and enter your name, email address and what you want to order. He will email you back and give you instructions on how to pay with paypal. No worries, he's good people.

As for leonz comments about the injection pump timing, I think he got the BX confused with the B3200. No vibration issues with any BX's that I've heard of or experienced myself. It is a little rough at idle but it's normal. If it bothers you, just bump up the throttle a little and it goes away.

Thanks for your service! I currently work for the Air Force as a government employee and US Army retired.

No worries. I got the info emailed to me this evening....

The EPA has mandated lower emmisions for small diesels and the vibration problem does exist and the small engines timing has been advanced in the small TRACTORS but the engines are used in other applications and have not been messed with.

then again- how to do it? remember some of us newbies want to learn:thumbsup:

Also does removing the advanced timing help the fuel or use more?
will it provide a bit more oomph? or lose HP?
will it make it scream less at higher rpms?
etc etc. I look forward to your rebuttal comments leonz.:D

With the timing reset to Zero degrees T.D.C. It will use a tiny bit more of

diesel fuel at the feed bunk but the power will be fine and the vibration issue

at low idle will be gone and you will be able to start it at idle with no smoke

and the banging that goes along with it.

Nor you will not lose horse power and the power delivered will be balanced.

The low idle will be normal and the engine wil just purr at idle like it is

supposed to (even when cold).

The engine will make less noise as the timing will be at the proper zero

degrees.

You need the work shop manual for the engine model and the tools required

to do the job and it will be back to normal the way it should be.

Where are you coming up with the 0 tdc number? That is not the kubota spec. Looking back at over 20 years of specs I can not find that it was ever 0 tdc. Please explain!!!
