Also there are no skid shoes for the blade and I am really worried of tearing up the driveway with it.
I'd really appreciate comments and advice here.
Rick,
You can drill a couple holes higher in the bottom forks of the BX lift rods and get more lift from the 3PH, so you can swing around a standard 6' rake or back blade without the tips hitting the ground.
While they are not cheap, the KK gage wheels are pretty good and would be recommended to keep the blade off the pavement, at least in my experience. Take this with a grain of salt, as I use my blade with gage wheels attached on my larger
B2910, but I think it would work equally well on my
BX2200. Gage wheels rule as far as I am concerned.
I don't get to TBN as much as I used to, and after typing the above, I just remembered that my gage wheels are KK, but I adapted them myself to the KK back blade, and gage wheels may not be an option for the KK back blade unless you do it yourself! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Guess it is time to put my tail between my legs and go back where I came from... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I do think gage wheels are one solution if you want to use a back blade on a new driveway surface without damaging it though...add a soft edge to the blade and that would be even better...but gage wheels rule, at least in my neck of the woods... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
