New BX2360 Owner

Unfortunately my next deployment is in the all to near future. TripleR the price diff was less than a thousand at my local dealer between the 23 and the 26. I decided that 5hp and cruise (and a bit more) was worth 1300 bucks but 2.5hp and a reclining seat wasn't worth 800, hope I don't regret it, lol. Thanks for the kind words all and it really looks like this is a great board. I am hoping that my new tractor will get here tomorrow. I've never had to wait for this large of a purchase to be in my hands before. I am an "off the lot" not a "special order" kinda guy. I guess this whole tractor thing is a bit different.

At your age, I really don't think you will regret buying the 2360 over the 2660. I had a BX2200 for six years and it did everything I needed. Age and arthritis made comfort an imperative, so I went with the BX2660 and reclining seat. A shade tree and the reclining seat saves me a trip to the house.

Waiting for a tractor sure is agony, but pretty much par for the course.

Again, thanks for your service. My son was in the 82nd with a career in mind after four prior years in the Navy doing interdiction, but got hurt and medically discharged. I know what you guys go through.

Yes, Thank you for your service! My wife is a Captain in the Army Reserve and was deployed, and I played single dad for a year. It was challenging for the whole family.

2ndgenguy- congratulations on your purchase and welcome to TBN! You'll find that that thing will eat "garden tractors" for breakfast with what it'll do, and yet will mow lawns with the best of them, too! Nice assortment of attachments- you'll enjoy it tremendously.

And, thanks for your service. I had it easy, I wasn't married with a family.... (but I did meet my future wife while overseas!)

Very nice setup. I really like the design of your rotary cutter; never saw one like that.

Man, I can see all kinds of stuff to do with that thing.

Thanks again for the welcomes and kind words. I am really excited about it. Played around with it for about an hour cutting some grass, bush hogging a bit, and pushing some logs around. I love it. I have never used a tractor this small, (MF 135 was the smallest till now) and am amazed so far at all it can do. I have lots of plans for it. The rotary cutter was made in decatur TN, it was a cheapie and has a chinese gearbox on it, seems to work really well, deck is solid and thick, we will see about longevity on it.

Congrats on the new purchase. I looked at/drove the 2360 and 2660 this past week and loved them both. Other than the HP and $$, I couldn't tell a whole lot of difference between the two. The prices quoted to me was right on with what you paid. With the 2360 about $1500 less than the 2660. After looking at the green and orange, I'm definitely leaning orange, also.

I have a JD2305 and Kubota BX2660. If you are going to have a MMM, I recommend the Kubota. As for everything else, both make good tractors.

TripleR have you had any troubles with the hydraulic hook up being under the step exposed? That combined with the price diff is what made me go Kubota.

Very nice setup! what the company brand of the bush hog ? I noticed the gearbox looks simalar to my fathers on the MF finishing mower and his is leaking through the top seals. Just something to keep eye on in future.

Anyway congrats! I am sure you gonna love every minute of it.

I haven't had a problem in the two years I have owned, but in all honesty since I don't like it very much, I often trailer my Kubota to the other farm and use the JD mostly for mowing or pulling a trailer. My grandson has become the "designated driver" of the JD as neither me or my wife care much for it. It is a good tractor, it just doesn't "do it" for us. I do like the steering located behind the axle as I have already torn boots on my BX2660. Of course the boots are also torn on my 80 hp Case; we use our tractors pretty hard in the woods.
