And rmilho, you make a great point. Someone even considering the BX is doing so for its small size. Certainly not its "built in weight":laughing:

Though I've only looked at them online...... it seems clear to me the MAX is a B sized machine. I think Mahindra makes a good product, but the marketing of the MAX as out-doing a BX seems odd.

Maybe they did it because they'd come up to short if they compared it to the comparable sized Kubota., the B. Now do a comparison of all of the advertised features of the two models.
It's a normal competative advertising gimmick to show your product beats the other companys product even though your not comparing the same equal product produced by the other company. Used to teach marketing and it's just part of marketing.
An informed buyer will do their research (so easy now with computers) comparing equal products and after filtering through the puffing and fluff see which one is really technically superior, Often times they are pretty close to equal which then brings it down to price and with tractors dealer support making the difference.
Me being a trader I look at resale as being very valuable which usually cuts out most of the newer brands that lack name recognition and very few dealers and those that are sold by car dealers over in their back corner.

That's a good point. I poked around their website, and realized the BX and MAX are not in the same class.

I also poked around the JD site, looking at their 1026 with drive-over mowing deck. I went through all their videos comparing the 1026 to a BX. In one video, they point out how the 1026 is "wider and longer"... that's when it dawned on me that it may not be a fair comparison.

One of my criteria when I was shopping for a tractor was "the smallest tractor with a backhoe, that I can also use as a lawnmower". If I wanted something bigger, I would not have gotten a BX.

Here in Oz , the pricing of the 1026 with MMM is only USD600 less
than a B2320 with MMM , and USD3200 more than a BX2360 MMM.
They're not selling any of 'em at JD's over here . Only by giving a
free 7Iron deck , will it see sales imo . It's covered in plastic too !
