Muhammad,

Would using that remote connection feature that was mentioned earlier be something that we should consider doing? Would (could) we hook up to you? As I understand it, then you could work directly with my system, right?

Since it's a display setting/configuration issue with your machine, I can't offer much more support than what has already been posted. If it were my computer, I'd reinstall IE, and if that failed, try Firefox and see how that looks.

O.K. I'll see what happens when I try the re-install.

I REALLY appreciate all of you guys taking the time to respond to this problem.

Alrighty Then!!

It looks like Hakim's suggestion worked!! I downloaded Internet Explorer 6 SPI, and I have a full screen back. I've attached a screen shot.

I still don't understand why I don't see any of the horizontal bars I used to see. Those are the ones that the name of each forum was in. It helped separate the different forums. And I also can't get any of the colors preferences to work (JD, Kubota, NH, etc.), or the font color chart. Any ideas on what's wrong with those? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

But I suppose I can live with this. I'll probably keep messing around with settings to see if I can get back to what I used to have, but it probably won't do any good.

Anyway, thanks to all who offered help. But especially to Hakim! You Da Man!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Garry,
Did you look in "my Home" here on TBN.........you can change the themes. When I changed mine to white , my screen looked just like yours.

Yeah Jerry, I did. It doesn't matter which theme I select, the screen always looks the same. The only thing that will change is the font size if I select one of the smaller font size selections. I usually change once every couple of months just for a little variety. I happened to have it set for JD when all of this happened. Now I can't get any color on it, other than what you see in the screen shot that I posted. And ikt's not even the loss of color that bothers me the most. I'd really like to get back those forum banners or headers or whatever their called that separates each forum section from the next one. Without them, everything kind of runs together. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

But like I said, I'm just happy to get the full screen back, so if I don't get these other "nice to haves" back, well that's O.K. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif (kinda, sorta!)

Gerry,

Try adjusting the brightness and contrast settings on the MONITOR itself. If these get out of whack, it can appear to drop out the "lines" and other separators. Nudge the settings and see if you can re-create a contrast balance that "shows" the lines. The contrast and brightness settings are usually on the bottom panel of the monitor. Sometimes they are behind a hinged "door."

Hmmmmm..... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Tried adjusting as you suggested, and I could not see ANY changes of any kind.

Now I know why I chose Netscape over IE. No problems like that have happened to me yet.

Unlike a CRT, LCD monitors usually have one recommended display resolution, at least the 2 LCD monitors I have, as well as my laptop, do. For example, my laptop can only run at 800 x 600 while the LCD on my daughter's PC will display a warning message if I try and use a different resolution. Sometimes they will work at other resolutions, but the picture quality suffers.

Might want to check the display owner's manual to see what the recommended resolution is.
