Another view. The color swatch in the image is a little closer to the actual color of the building (light and camera limitations) ... the actual color is probably a little darker than the swatch but not as dark as it appears on the building in the photo.

They are getting that thing up fast! It looks really good from here!

Randy your crew is doing a teriffic job! You must be really excited that the construction is nearing an end on the pole barn construction.

You know that starts the beginning of other projects like, water, electric, wainscoting, and the list goes on and on.

TJ,

Thanks.

Yes, they were pretty quick - if I had made some better decisions about prepping the site, and where I had the materials spotted, they would have been done at least a full day earlier. Even so, I still thought it was fast.

They had the building completed, the site cleaned up, and they were in the truck heading out the driveway at 2 PM this afternoon. The only thing that remains from them is for their subcontractor to come (hopefully tomorrow) and install the 3 overhead doors.

Of course I still have tons of stuff to do - starting with getting some gravel around the edges so I don't have snow blowing inside.

Mike,

I think they did a pretty dang good job - especially given the conditions (teens to 20's temperature-wise, probably single-digit windchills, snow, somewhat problematic site)

They squared the building one final time before they started installing the roof today. Previously when I had asked Fred (the foreman) how far out it was, he said it was 1/4" - which I consider fairly impressive ..... but then what do I know ? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am glad it is done - it was pretty stressful, for a variety of reasons.

Oh yeah .... I'm really bummed out that it's too late for concrete ..... would have been nice to be able to get the shop set up in there this winter.

At least I'll have some place to put things away out of the elements and somewhere to move all the junk from the other shed so I can at least work in there. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can see a moving day in the real near future involving my pallet forks. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I thought rswyan had his own set of Pallet Forks. What are you going to do move his tractor? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cabin fever must be setting in already. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ron,

Good memory Ron. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I think the spudgun PineRidge is building must have misfired during testing and caught him in the noggin. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anyways he'd end up a popsicle if he drove the TC40D all the way over here right now. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Mike, I wish it were so ..... I think before I move too much in I'm going to need to clean it up a bit. There's a good bit of leftover trim, sheetmetal, as well as just some garbage that I'm going to need to get out. There are also quite a few nails that they dropped - I really need it to warm up for a day or so to melt the snow inside so I can find them.

I also want to dig the trenches for the floor drains and spread some of the gravel inside that I have here as well (If nothing else it will get rid of the piles of it I have lying around. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
