New engine for my F-600 Dump Truck

I've sort of put my head in the sand over the rear seal. The truck runs and I'm moving dirt again, so my plan is to just pretend that it's not that big of a problem.

On the bright side, the Donaldson air filter fits and seems to be working. I've taken off the air cleaner over the carburator and can't find any sign of dust. The filter is spotless clean after about 30 hours of use.

Eddie, might want to put a baffle of sorts over the open side, kind of like the top hat on your backhoe air filter.

Looks cool, and I think you are far ahead from the standard size filter.

Eddie, I thought you had mentioned that the original air cleaner had some rust holes and pits in it that might allow dust entry. Do you get those filled with epoxy, or jb weld, or silicone?

I didn't go back thru all the posts, I just think I remember that comment early on during your repair.​

Good idea. I must have been suffering from tunnel vision on figuring out how to install it and sort of overlooked the GIANT hole in the side. hahaha

I cleaned off the lid with a wire wheel until I got it down to shiny metal. Then I used allot of silicone on both sides. It took about three days to dry!!!!
