Avatars and sig pics aren't working, yet. I know you guys are in triage mode.

I am on IE7 and Windows Vista - no issues...

I used to always just look at the posts in the, for example, last 12 hours. I never had the time to browse each area. Is the ability to search for posts within the last XX hours now gone?

Hmm, no smileys within the text of a thread either?

Brent, go to the Quick Links option in the tool bar, it is a drop down menu. Then select Today's Posts in the drop down menu. That will give you the most current posts with the newest posts at the top. :)

The Searching of the full forum will definitely return shortly. Right now, we don't have the search database populated at all because it was a choice between opening the forums or waiting another 30 minutes.

I'm going to update the search tonight. Along with many other "refreshes" to the forum to try to fix some of the bugs.

But the important thing is that TBN is back, and ready for step 2. Yes, step 2 is an actual server move which will take place next week.

That's going to be quite exciting as we're going to be boosting our server's hardware by a considerable sum. So speed and performance of both the forum and the entire site will jump way up!

We are lucky to have so many patient users, and you guys are definitely helping us sort through the transition. We're going from a very familiar forum that we used for years to a brand new software that even we aren't perfectly familiar with. So it takes some double checking and hunting through help pages to find out how to do everything perfectly.

Thanks for the patience, all!

-Ibrahim

Thanks Bob! Now, how do I get it to go to simply the last post in the chosen thread rather than it just taking me to the beginning of that thread?

Ah ha! I did get a smiley in!! But, he seems to be the embarrassed smiley...

Click on the little square box with the arrow shape in it. It will be located to the right of the poster's name. That takes you to the last post.

Question for those who might now:

When viewing a thread you have already looked at (especially a large one) the old sytem would take you to the post you had not viewed yet (the newer posts). It appear that this new software brings you to the begining post so you have to figure out where you left off reading a long thread.

Is their away to set this up software to go to the posted reply's you have not looked at?

For example: A thread might have 27 replys to it. You have already read the first 20 and only have seven unread reply's to read. Old way would bring up the reply's you have not looked at. New way brings up the first post and you have to figure out where you left off. It makes it harder to keep up on active posts.

Bob's post, the last before mine, indicated time posted as today 7:31pm. Where I am it's 2:35pm CST. Seems like the time used to be closer?

Go into your profile and reset your timezone. You probably need to reset it to GMT-5 or GMT-6 to have the clock match your time (I'm not sure what time zone Louisiania is on, but I suspect it is Central Time, if so, set your GMT time to Mexico City)
