2011 Kubota B2320 HSD
New & inexperienced tractor operator, welcomes any advice for basic operations such as leveling ground, etc.
Kubota Model B2320 HSD for general purpose use.
Having some difficulties leveling gravel etc with bucket since tractor tilts on uneven ground and bucket follows.
I suppose one needs to try and 'build' a level spot to begin with to have tractor on to start?
Any suggestions for books, etc with basic techniques? Aside from Op Manual.

While a FEL is a great tool, it is not adjustable like a 3PH attachment like a rear blade or box scraper, so rather than trying it the had way it might be best to get another attachment.

Yes, you can do it by going sideways to create a flat beginning spot, but it takes a lot more work than I car to do and changes in topography makes it necessary to repeat too often for me.

Good luck.

My sentiments also. Go to the SEARCH forum at the top of this page. type in Boxblade. You will gain a lot of knowledge by viewing the Forums here on TBN, BTW, there is a learning curve in using any implement or tractor. Best wishes.

Thanks very much Gents. I do have blade and box blade as well and will follow the recommended SEARCH. I'm no stranger to operating various machines but not with tractors and haven't been around people to witness first hand. Just need some experience but also need some guidance to begin. I've been surfing/looking for books on 'techniques' but mostly all I've found is safety-related (not that that's a bad thing). Have had the tractor a couple of years and done some work with it but always feel like I'm missing something - actually a lot! As you say Mr creekbend there is always a learning curve. Love my tractor though and plan to get lots of use out of it on my little 7 acre, wooded homestead!

Thank you all. I have been doing 'quick reply' and not sure who-all sees those.
Learning a lot already. Searched other strings as suggested and it was very interesting and informative.
I am away from home at present and looking forward to getting back and onto the tractor.
Steep driveway is severely washed out from torrential rains.

Yes indeed, read a lot about box blade use and there were many different opinions on best techniques, but still very informative.
Glad I got on this sight and looking forward to some more "seat time".
