Just my 2 cents. I would consider convert from oil & install elec. heat strip air handler with Heat pump. is your elec. rates more stable than oil prices ?. I'm down south, we don't deal with any oil burners down here. Hp should do ok to around 25-30* but, it probably won't feel as warm to you as, you are probably use to a good amount of heat put out from the oil burner. I say this assuming, the oil burner put out about the same heat as a NG gas furnace would. Brands really don't matter. There all about the same. Just talk to several installers in your area & see what they recommend. A good installer won't mind giving referneces for you to check his quality of work & if they will be there in the long run when you need them
