These people;

EngNet - Mitsubishi Diesel Engine Parts - Parts Supply Corporation

at least list your engine and MIGHT be able to supply whatever you need to re-build it.
BTW, although you say you want a replacement engine - and I will try to not argue you out of that - as a matter of curiosity just what is wrong with the original engine ?

In other searches I came up with some info on a Dutch site that it is probably a K3M-DT
Although I spent some time in Holland my Dutch "isn't" (-:

I requested a catalog from engnetglobal

A long, sad, story. Because I had not known to keep watch on the frame bolts staying tight to the engine (don't even trust Locktite here), a long string of events ensued, and in the end, I had multiple small radiator leaks, and so, would run water in the leaky cooling system and drain it when it was going to be cold. The radiator and block were connected to a common drain via rubber tubes and the block drain plugged up with rust flakes. Last winter when draining it, hot water came out and I thought I was safe, but the block wasn't draining. The block cracked through an oil passage somewhere. There is much oil in the water. A little water goes into the oil but not apparently when the engine is running. I still intend to try to work a repair, but I am not overly optimistic concerning my chances. I operate on a very tight fixed income. Labor, rather than capital, is my preferred option.

I borrowed to buy my LS R4010 to keep me going, and my summer tasks will give me little time to attack the Cub Cadet that has my shop floor until further notice. I'll have a huge job just to see if my fixes will work. If I found the right deal on a used engine/similar tractor, I might go that way, rather than invest the time, letting that old engine be part of my fortune in spare parts.

Once, when my fuel injection pump failed, I found one online for $1,300. I eventually fixed it with a tiny $7 part and a very technical dismantlement and reassembly -- learning on the job, as it were. Another time I broke 12 pounds of parts in the front drive, and these cost me only $2,000. It's a credit to the engineers that they can build a $16,000 tractor from $250,000 in parts. How DO they do it? :confused:
