Thanks for the advice, but how do I go about checking if the hours have been tampered with if the tractor has been in the possession of the dealership for the last two years ? In other words, it would have been the dealer that adjusted the hours if their low so there's no point in asking the Dealer. Is there some way I can check the hours myself or is it best left to a mechanic ?

Does Canada require a registration and title for tractors? If so state records or reporting bureaus would be a good start. If this isnt the case then youd need to find the previous owner and hope he has a good memory.

Looks like I'm going to be the one dissenting voice on this. I think for a 3 year old tractor, that has been pretty much stored outside, $17,500 is too high. My guess is that tractor was somewhere around $20 new, so that's not enough of an incentive for me after this long. I'm not in favor of Supersteer, so maybe I'm even more biased. Why not compare to a comparable new model with exactly what you want. Then you'll know what your saving. If it was me, I'd prefer a 40D or DA without the supersteer, instead spending the extra on the added HP. But, if you've got a lot of really tight corners to work in, maybe it's worth it. I've never yet found a spot where I needed it however as the non-supersteer versions turn pretty sharply already. Good Luck!
