New Holland has the new TL series loaaders on their website now. I noticed they list lift capacity at the pins as well as 19.7 in. on the compacts, this should allow better comparison with other brands which list only the most favorable capacity.

It appears that they have basically the same specs as the older LA loaders, I'm curious what the difference really is?

It is nice to see that NH specs include the bucket capacities based on the various size buckets that are availale for each machine. :)

Looks like a cam pin installation for loader removal, and installation. Another feature being tooted is the rounded back bucket for sticky material to fall out easier. My 1972 IH3444 TLB has a rounded bucket, looks like old tech being applied to the new TL loader buckets. Cylinders are painted black, and the lower boom link fitting where it attaches to the bucket looks like welded on tube steel, instead of the older cast steel fitting welded to the tube steel. Wonder who is manufacturing them now?

Didn't see a picture of the TL270 loader. May have to stop by the dealer and take a gander for myself.

September is the first month of production. It takes 6 weeks ( so I am informed ) for a tractor / loader combination to be built and shipped. I doubt if there are any in dealers inventory at this time. I ordered mine two days after the factory reps announced they would be available to local dealers. I am patiently waiting. They will forward a serial number when it is scheduled for a build date.

These new loaders are made by Quicke in Sweden. They are great quality with some fine features. Easy to hook and un-hook both loader frame & attachments. Check out the third function and soft ride. In frame tool box & hidden hydro lines. I may be partial-- i'm a Quicke dealer, but if you go look, you may agree.

I also sell ALO and was excited to hear this, but then our shop forman was talking to one of the tech guys and he was convinced that this is not an ALO loader. I'm confused.

The 800 series for the larger tractors look to be ALO/Quicke, the 200 series for the compacts, not sure.

Quicke is making loaders for mid to large size tractors is what I should have said. On the smaller tractors like our Landini Mistral we have to use a loader made by Buhler/Allied, Quicke does not make a loader for it yet. Our rep says this may change, so this may also apply to the small New Holland tractors. Sorry for not being more clear........ J.M.H.

Nope. The compact tractor TL loaders are built by NH in Belleville, PA. With the exception of the TZ loader, which will continue to be built by Matcor.

The mid-large range loaders are built by ALO.

I had an opportunity to see one of the new 820TL loaders for the New Holland tractors. The mounting system for the bucket, as well as other attachments, is very similar to the new "Global Carrier" set up on the new JD xx3 series loaders. Unless someone makes a skid steer type adapter, none of the old attachments will fit.

It seems the former loader manufacturer for New Holland found out the new series is being built by another company. They immediately quit making loaders for them which caused a huge shortage. My 55 has been built since Oct. 18 and is awaiting a tl series loader. A check today indicated it could be another month or so before it is shipped. By the way the factory is mounting the loaders.

I'm suprised that the "former" loader mfger stopped making loaders. Would seem that they were under a contract with NH to deliver a set amount of loaders for that contract, plus not to mention idleing their loader line, with possible layoffs of workers. I'm for one very happy I have the skid steer QA. Makes for more universal atachments available. The sole source QA like Deere limits you to what is available to you, in addition to having to purchase their "fit only" attachments. Fabricating your own attachments maybe complicated by the new unique NH QA system. Now with the older QA skidsteer system, blanks can be purchased, and welded to adapt your own attachments. Can hardly wait to see the new loaders at the dealer and look to see where they shaved corners, ummm I mean took cost saving measures.......The easier on-off loader mount is not needed by me, I need my loader on altime. Interesting that NH changed from a real world winner of a QA, to another configuration. Can't wait to finally see the new ones.

My thoughts exactly. I think the story may have more to it.

I think it's likely a case of the original contract expiring and the new loaders just taking longer for to get into the system than anticipated. As for the loader attachment mounts, they are the new ISO standard for loaders. It actually does look simple, a square tube or bar on the bottom of the loader and a round tube or bar on the top, attachments have hooks on top and bottom. The loader has a single lever lock mechanism to lock the attachment into position. The Deere xx3 series loaders have the identical attachment system. The NH loaders are manufactured by ALO/Quicke, and are a very impressive loader. My local NH dealer confirmed this, he is an ALO/Quicke dealer as well, over 20 years in business.

What does this mean if you go and buy an attachment for your loader..you have to ask for the ISO spec.? I am new to loaders and want to get a quick attach grapple for my loader.

From JD website, best explanation I have seen. The JD latching mechanism appears to be more usere friendly than that of NH.

"The global carrier conforms to ISO standard DIS23206. Although the design fully meets the standard, it is a unique John Deere design. As most manufacturers now meet the ISO standard, it is expected that this ISO standard will quickly become the industry norm for carriers.

Features include:

The handle for latching is on the left hand side of the loader to save time when unhooking attachments
The latching mechanism is on the carrier, eliminating the need to buy latches for every attachment used
The carrier is compatible with any competitor attachments that conform to the ISO standard
The carrier is composed of a rigid bottom square tube and a solid top bar; this creates a strong structure to reduce twisting if only one hook is mistakenly engaged while connecting an attachment
The top bar of the global carrier is cold drawn for improved wear resistance"

Sounds good, but when you mention John Deere it starts to sound expensive.........many a skid steer have the now discontinued QA system. Is NH going to change them over also to the newer ISO system? Your grapple? In those words of the Waynes brothers, "Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money!"

New Holland has the new ISO system, at least for the larger 800 series loaders, I haven't seen the 200 Series TL loaders. Checking prices on the JD website, these new loaders are a lot pricier. The 563 NSL lists for $7868, compared to $5495 for the 542 NSL and $4843 for the 522. I expect NH to be comparably priced. At least JD is still offering the older QA loaders.
