New Holland vs. Kubota

/ New Holland vs. Kubota #21
I owned a kubota b2710...a pretty nice tractor in the kubota lineup ( compared w/ the b7800 at the time). I started shopping for my replacement kubota when the family moved to a larger property. Orange was for me, as my tractor was awesome....:D

I then discovered New Holland. :cool:I now own a TC45D with supersteer. Beyond the 18 HP difference, the NH offered rear remotes (stock), supersteer, pivoting seat, 4 sp hydro (turtle-rabbit in 2 stage transmission), turtle-rabbit button on loader stick, much better operators platform (loader stick location, and all other stuff including no more trying to fuel the tractor with a loader support in the way...), and far superior hydraulics.

Both tractors are very good, for me though, NH is a much better machine. I've put 500 hours on it in the last 2 years, and have had only self-inflicted issues . A TC45D is a great machine.

Best of luck...

Look at fueling ease - my tractor fuel tack cap is on the hood - i.e. no fun lifting a 5 gal. tank to re-fuel. .

My NH TN70A has the fuel cap on the back end. Very easy to refuel with 5 gallon cans. Until you mentioned it, I never gave it any thought.

Not only convenient to get to but a very large diameter. My Ford 2120 has the "normal" size filler mounted in the center of the hood and it is a royal pain.

I've owned Fords with the hood tank, my Kubota has a hood tank, and the Case/IH we had had a behind the seat tank. All a royal pain to fill when you burn 20 gallons a day and buy fuel in 5 gallon jugs. The underbelly tanks might require a lift pump and get a stick through them every so often but boys is it nice to fill.

We did used to use a pump off a tank that eased the pain but it somehow would attract water like nothing else.

My NH 2003 TN70A has both an under belly tank and a filler pipe behind the seat. The underbelly tank has a skid plate that protects it from damage. This was an option on my year. I think it maybe standard equipment now.
