New JD 1023E and 1026R

Old Man Is that a guess on your part or are the prices listed on the purchasing guide? $20,000 seems low for TLB and MMM.
I was under the impression from what I have read on the forum that the
1026R was appprox $15,299 with a basic loader, 60"D mower about $2,600 and the backhoe around $5,500.

Sure hope we don't need to wait until June to get a close look at these machines!

The purchasing guide doesn't have any prices. Here is a listing based upon tenative MSRP data past and present:

That was an estimate, after putting the figures on paper they look like this: 1026R base price 12,565, 60D 7 Iron 2800, 120H Loader 3000 (haven't seen any pricing on loader), Backhoe 5500 = 23865 12% discount = $21,001. If you can get 15% discount: $20,285, which you might get with the purchase of three implements.

Wish I could be more help, I've been hounding dealers within a three state area for information,
Old Man

Just spoke to the dealer today (my dad used to work for them years ago) and he said that there were a few parts in the tractor that were found to not meet JD specs, so they stopped the whole line to remedy it rather than release anymore. Seems smart to me. He said that they are now hearing that they can begin selling/quoting again in May but there will be a huge backlog. Looks like the Kubota BX will enjoy their market share a little longer. He did say that if you want a 2305 or 2320, they are going to be offering huge deals here starting tues....

Hi

Well I was at a local Farm Show Today, and was looking over a 1023E and sat on it. I am not really too sure if I am all that impressed with them or not, granted this was not the 1026R, but I have only seen the 1023E. I guess the tilt steering wheel is only avaliable on the 1026R.

I did like the Temp gauge on the dash, but wish they put the fuel tank Empty full indication on the dash as well, simular to the X700's. There is more leg room I find on my 2305 then the new 1023E I was looking at. I know that the rear fenders on my 2305 are plastic as well, but it seems like the plastic was stronger on my 2305 over the plastic on the 1023E... Made it look cheap, compared to the Kubota BX25 and my 2305. They are a nice tractor over all for some, but I still prefer my 2305 Deere. The 3 lift arm on my 2305 also is bigger in diameter then the top link on the 1023E. I was hoping to talk to a sales rep about the new 1023E and 1026R's, and several saw me closely looking it over but none came over to ask if I had any questions about the tractor. I am glad I deal with my local dealer anyway, as these sales reps were from a different dealer were not all that helpful.

I might be the only one who thinks this, but I actually really don't like where Deere put the PTO selecter lever for the rear/mid PTO on the 1023E, its smaller and a bit harder to get to. I had no problems bumping into the PTO selector lever on my 2305, and actually like it better on my 2305.
I am glad my 2305 only has 497hrs on it, and will likely be hanging on to it for many years ahead. Maybe if I get the chance to see the 1026R and demo one my opnions might change a bit.
Fuel Cap on the side is nice, although I never found it aqward to fill the tank on my 2305, although I am not sure why the Deere 2305 Diesels had black fuel caps, like the gas X700 series do, instead of a red fuel cap like my X744 has.
Just my views from what I have seen of the 1023E. If I were to upgrade, I would likely look at the 1026R. I am still up in the air and still prefer the 2305.
Take Care Jason B

Not awkward to fuel on top of the hood? Do you have a FEL? It's a real back killer to fuel my 2210 with the 210 loader mounted. I would move to a 1023e just for the fender fuel fill. Although if anyone would ever put a cab on one of these the fender fuel would be a problem.

This tractor would make a nice mower, and maybe do ok doing a little light loader work. But, $20K+ for the TLB, that's a lightweight at best. No thanks. You can get a much more capable TLB for that kind of money by simply changing colors.

My dealer called yesterday stating he had just spoke with Deere, the tractors will not be available until mid summer!

I was at the dealer recently and he said the 1023E is delayed until May and the 1026R won't becoming out until the "August time frame". He also said its why they are offering $1,000 rebate with the purchase of 2 implements.

1026 in August, wow! In the local small paper here there was a John Deere insert showing the "all new 1026R tractor".

If you have a loader on it, then yeah it would be a little difficult to refuel the 2305, but I don't have a loader on mine so I really don't have any issues with it.
