Trouble is, batteries kind of tend to keep leaking acid out the top and corroding the cooler lines, so the new one will corrode sooner or later too. Putting the battery in front of the radiator (and cooling fan) tends to suck the acid directly toward the hydro cooler. I don't know what the solution is. Someone suggested containing the battery in one of those plastic boxes you put boat batteries in. Seemed like a good idea (except there's no way to tie it down with the standard battery hold-down clamps).
I think JD needs to come up with a better solution to the problem.
