Merry Christmas to ALL!

i didnt always work/live in idaho. I have friends that worked and currently work union jobs in Washington, firms like Boeing , and others that worked for GM. There all respectable hard working people, and i feel that saying all Union people are dope smoking lazy sacks isnt right.

I was Union electrician in Wash state, and we worked our butts off. It was our goal to work HARDER than the non union shops. Slackers were sent hiking.

I want to unionize potato pickers... so we can label all potatoes "Union Made"

hehe

Nature 'makes' potatoes not humans. I believe planted and harvested by union members would be appropriate.

They aren't all lazy and shiftless, I admit to that quite a few at least in auto plants are however.... My BIL is the second shift production manager at a large Ford facility not far from here and I know what goes on from a managers perspective because I hear about it. never been there (union plant). I worked and retired from a non union employer that kept the union out (in a heavily unionized area) by compensating his employees accordingly, however, there was no arbitration or union intervention when it came to employees that didn't follow the work rules set forth by them. There was the door.....

It amazes me (watching the Fiat grand Prix at lunchtime exiting from the Jeep plant and heading down Stickney at breakneck speed to get to the corner carryout to get some beer and then filling the parking lot, windows closed, smoking a joint and downing a brew). Great lunch. I'd never consider buying any Chrysler/Fiat product for that and other reasons. Watched the spectacle yesterday at noon.

Kioti and he mentioned that the small NH tractors are being discontinued and that Kioti bought the NH factory and will be doing production there - saving the jobs that were going to be lost due to the shutdown apparently. Good news in this economy.

Whoever told you that is confused. New Holland sold the tooling for the TZ subcompacts to Daedong. They are moving the line to Korea to their own factory. The factory was run buy Shibaru in Japan (not NH), don't be surprised when the other old Shibaru models creap into other brands.

Daedong has done this in the past, they bought Kubota's tooling from the 1970's L210 and used it to build one of the old LK series. I guess its cheaper for Daedong to buy another companies discarded tractor than it is to design their own from scratch.

Personally I think it makes sense, DaeDong buying the tooling for the TZ series subcompacts.
They take a machine that was field tested for several years. They know its strenghts and its weaknesses.
Retain its strenghts, repair/rebuild any weaknesses and you have yourself a solid, reliable subcompact tractor.

Other then the sheet metal style change, fasteners, dash boards, even colors they have copied to a "T" everything else in the past. Some have commented before about parts just bolting right on right down to Kubota engines bolting in!

When I worked in Korea 40 years ago I was always amazed at there ability to copy other products built. Did they use all the same building processes, no but I guess it's like looking at the outside of a watch.

As I look trough this forum for engine oil cap. for L3400 Kubota, I see a lot of interesting topics, and couldn't pass this one up. For me that would be a job I'd love to have, and my job title would be (Tractor Tester Engineer), and my first day on the job, I'd go in the CEO's board meeting first thing, and say I've been testing the L3400 DT since 07, OK for the hay field, BUT, at hauling out firewood/logs, I'd tell them that we need some improvements on this model.
I know some people like HST, and for the hay field, it would probably work a lot better, but some like me, like a manual for some reason.

So let's start with L3400 DT, I want a better manual transmission, so that when I put it in gear, I don't have to first count to 10 sec. with the clutch down, and I want the reverse gear a little slower, not faster. I want at least 200lb. more loader lift, and 3 point hitch cap. I want bigger tires on front, and I want/demand a locking front diff. then before I have chance to get to all the (working in the woods accessory's) that I had to add on, at least a half dozen or more,
Donald Trump will say, YOUR FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats called feature creep. add all that, and you don't have a standard L any more or will have pushed into the price point of the next model up.

Cars do it. Trucks do it. Even TVs and washing machines do it.
One person here complained that Kubota Ls don't have position control, mine did but mine wasn't the basic save the dollars model like his. Some people have complained because Kubota has so many models to choose from while others complain of a missing feature (you bought the wrong model).

I read alot of posts about ford and Chrysler. I worked for both. I quit Chrysler because they sucked to work for. I got laid off from ford because the whole economy thing. Ford is a great company to work for and is managed well. I have alot of respect for ford, even though they sent me packing.
That doesn't affect what I buy though, I love me some chevys.
