The point here is to fill the hole between a full size machine and compact tractor. Its not ment to replace a full size machine, or even be a better value compared to one. Its ment to go where a full size does not make sense, and if offers a 3pt and versitality that a full size can't match. Its also a hydrostatic which is a much more expensive transmission than a power shuttle.

Here is the problem i see , i read somewhere at $47000 that dont include
any buckets. or 3 point. by time you add all extra Hydraulic functions. buckets, 3 point and all options. you are going to be well over $50000..:(
at that price.

Chris.....:)

do you and others really think that this TLB..keyword 'TLB' will not come with buckets..I mean come on..thats like buying a car and the tires and wheels not being included..

its a tractor loader backhoe..it will come with atleast the front bucket and 1 backhoe bucket. why would it be spec'ing out the 84" bucket size if it wasn't included? and its also not showing different size loader buckets under options..backhoe buckets..yea..but not loader.

I will not argue that the M59 fills a hole. In fact I wish I had the M59 with all the mods I have on my L39 and then some. A ballasted M59 type machine with Hydraulic thumb, 4 way 6' HD bucket and a air conditioned Cab would be the perfect size machine for me. $50K should buy that, not a norminally optioned M59.

Having a sense for value that I have, if I had the oppotunity to buy an M59 back in 2005, considering what I know now, I would pass.

I really think the M59 will be a slow seller, not because it does not fill a hole, but because it is 10-15% too much $$$.

I would get a lightly used full size TLB. If I had a full size TLB, maybe I would not have gotten the Komatsu PC-75UU-2E excavator. If I did get an excavator, hopefully it would be a 12-15 ton class machine but only after I had a dedicated ~40-50 HP CUT.

Kubota price-specs new machines with each piece separate. When I priced an M5040 with a LA1153 loader, there were distinct prices for:
tractor unit
tires for tractor
LA1153 loader itself
control valve and hoses required to run loader ($2-300 I think)
bucket for loader (about $800 I believe)

There may even have been one or two other items, but I remember at least those being separate and separately priced. So I would not be at all surprised if that's how an M59 gets priced. FWIW, JD pricing on new stuff is similar in having separate pieces and options, though I don't remember it being quite as picky as Kubota on the number of pieces separately priced out.

I understand that..but we are talking about a TLB...comes as a unit..you cant get a TLB with out say the loader..or the backhoe..its a unit..yes I know there are options for the tire ag,etc, etc. but the tlb has to have a bucket for the front and for th rear.

The options on the L39 and M59 are the same. just a little bigger.
for the trouble to tow it. and the extream cost jump. i dont feel its worth it.
so i am going to buy a L39 in the spring....;) soon as i sale my JD 2520.

Chris....:)

you must be looking at a different description of the L39 then what I have..to say its the same other then size as the M59 is incorrect. And it has the same options..

I'm not a Kubota dealer so I can't say for sure... BUT.... you can get an L48 without the backhoe, I had my local dealer price one out for me. I suspect the backhoe buckets are optional since different uses require different buckets, why saddle all buyers with one generic bucket that they may not want? I hope the loader is standard since it should be integral and nonremovable, but I wouldn't be surprised if the loader bucket is extra for the same reason - not all users want the same bucket.

Maybe a Kubota dealer can just post what is/is not automatically included.
