CORRECT!
I have an 07 Dodge SRW 3500 diesel, pulling a Bri-Mar 18 ft, 12,000 gvw trailer in which the trailer with tool box weighs in at 3200 by it's self. Then add my L48 with various gadgets depending on what I am heading to do and the tractor avg's 8200 lbs. I can pull it OK, however, I can't get legal because my trailer is too short, stopping me from adjusting the weight. I go through the local weigh station all the time, and they don't bother me. They do come out and check that I have a chain on all four corners plus the hoe and not using straps. At the time, 18 ft is all that Bri-Mar had. Now, they have a 20 ft'r and this, is still too short as I can't manuever for legal weight

Isn't it amazing how many things can trip you up when it comes to trailer ownership?

It's a wonder 1/2 the guys who buy trailers buy the right one the first time. :(

thats what I was thinking..sounded high but you never know.

L48 was on 38K fully equipped! brand new.

Builders, all I was saying is that even with the L48 its heavy.. I know that the it weighs 7760lb with the loader and bucket..the M59 is only 8400 difference of 640lbs... if you have a L48 you are towing already ..you should be able to tow a m59 fine unless you are using a 1/2 ton truck.

its not some huge difference of 2k or so..

I bet that weight ends up much higher once buckets, fuel, etc are added. The other think ya gotta realize is that towing laws are much more harshly enforced up here in Yankee-land.

everything is stricter up there LOL.

The 7760 was from the kubota website and said with the loader/bucket and backhoe..so I just assumed thats what the 8400lbs was on the M59 too.. I maybe wrong..but..even so..weights not an issue with me atleast..well not tractor weight LOL
