WOW! That's a serious stump! How'd you move it after that?

Just pushed it with the front loader, I doubt it would be able to lift it up completely, but had no problem flipping it over a couple times to knock some dirt off.

Was down to help the neighbor dig out this maple stump today, figured we would use both tractors to make it go quicker. If you look closely his Mahindra 3016 is behind the stump. Should have gotten better picture with both machines beside it.

Can't believe how much faster pulling a stump is with this machine, both tractors digging took about an hour and a half, maybe two hours to have it out of the ground. We weren't exactly in a rush, so not too bad. We also stirred up a bees nest, but they didn't seem to care about us, just all over the place looking for their nest we think.

That bucket pin will not stay put, kept having to knock it back to center while digging. Hopefully the dealer comes up with a fix for that soon.

Big stump, even my excavator would say ugh.

The BH is really nice, for non pilot controls, they work better than the small ag BH's

Hoe is strong also

Noticed the paint was coming off the wheel after a bit of use, turned out to be some extra casting where the tie rod end attaches to the knuckle.

Took the wheel off and used an angle grinder to smooth it out and allow clearance between it and the wheel.

I'll have to get some paint for the wheel and knuckle to match the factory colors. I may take the other wheel off and clearance the same spot a little just to be sure it doesn't touch either once I get the proper paint to match.

Next on the list is installing the block heater the dealership forgot to install before delivering, they said it would be an easy install, but forgot to mention that the hydraulic pump has to come off first. Kind of disappointed with the dealer about this because parts and labour were already paid for, and when I inquired about them doing it after the delivery they just gave me the parts and basically said good luck. Same with the wheel touching the knuckle, when I mentioned it was rubbing all they really said was let us know how you make out with that.

As for the backhoe pin issue, I ended up going to a Brafasco and getting a 1/2"x13TPIx2" set screw, it passes right through the pin and bottoms on the opposite side of the coupler, and the bucket ear covers the open end. So far it has been holding the pin in place and have used it for few hours of digging.

It will probably be hard to keep the wheels from getting scuffed up.There is so little clearance that rocks get jammed in there and scratch them up.I painted the inside of one wheel but could see it would be a losing battle and gave up.It will be a long time before the wheel rusts through and they really aren't that expensive.Good luck.

I get that, but this was metal to metal contact, and would have worn into the wheel deeper if left long enough. I'm not worried about scratched paint on the wheels, just don't want the knuckle touching the wheel when it defects a tiny bit. I noticed gravel gets jammed in the wheels easy at the bottom, but nothing I can do about that.

I'm a little late but congratulations on your new L45 KyleH. I have 1300 hours on mine purchased new in 2012 and love it still. I am in Ontario just north of Toronto so nice to see a fellow Ontarian with an L45.

Regards,

Lauren

The Kubota TLBS always impress me. That stump is as large as anything I've pulled with my excavator, and it weighs over twice that of an L45. Kudo's
