The reason I wanted to upload a video was to show how the control handle made contact with the valve body which would not allow me to apply the pressure cycle. Please look at my finger pointing.

The handle can be set to operate in different directions

I tried to mount the handle differently to no avail. At any rate, tomorrow I am going to try a new handle. I will keep you guys posted.

Problem is the "link" is to long.... Made for old valve.....

You probably have enough material in existing link to cut it back and drill new hole....

You really need is a chain master link or fabricate link that is shorter.... As in your second picture....

Master link can be available at most any "Gear/Bearing" distributor/shop.... Take handle in so you can gauge pin size of chain to fit it properly...

Chain master link is #60 (3/4 inch) on my control valve ...

I'm not seeming to follow everything here - of course I could be lost way off base - but looking at your picture in post#8, why couldn't you just flip the valve around - to the left, mount as same - and then your "flexible" hoses would be inserted into the correct ports and valve would respond as expected? All this modifying of the valve would not be required? Yes the handle would be slightly off from original, but so what?

Good morning, the hydraulic connection have been corrected. The problem now is with the control lever. I am getting a new lever and linkage today. I will keep everyone posted on the new linkage install.

New updated handle and linkage to match the new version control valve and now everything is working perfectly.
My thanks to all for their time, patience and suggestions on how to solve my problem.
Best regards
Melvin.

By initial appearance's your new valve is installed backwards.... THE new valve is functionally the opposite of old valve in every respect...
This appears to be same (new) valve you have that is on my DUERR splitter.... Do you happen to have a part number off valve?

What type of elbow pipe hose fitting, that you are using on your fluid return line?

Not really sure, splitter is 1989-91 model DUERR (made by MTD), probably been through several owners, ... By appearances elbow maybe cast iron or cast steel "pipe" fitting, only marking on fittings is "3/4" and "Thailand"... Known in real works as a "Street El"... And has 3/4 inch"barbed" fitting to connect to hose..... IF I need to replace valve I will probably replace it with one that is a genuine high pressure elbow....BUT in its defence it is on low pressure side 0-400 psi so I'm not really concerned with it....
IF you could see the problems with my splitter (nipple is cross threaded into cylinder and maybe valve body) and leaky valve you would understand why I am hesitant to change anything unless I go for major project.... It's easier to hold my breath and use it as is and in the several years I have uses it I only added 1 quart of hydraulic fluid to maintain recommended amount in tank by manufacturer.... And yes all the cross threaded plumbing work was done by a previous owner and I only acquired it used a few year ago...
