- 1968 Farmall 140, 1948 Ford 8N, 1974 MF150, Case 31 Hoe
Good morning. My name is Mark (Jonathan's father), and my wife, son, mother, and I moved, about a year back, to a small ridge-top farm in west-central West Virginia. Last October, I acquired one-owner, 1968 IH Farmall 140, with eight (8) implements. I've since used all but the bucket, changed plugs, points, condenser, coil, fan belt, and the old Zenith carb butterfly linkage operated by the governor. I'm not getting the same power since the carb linkage change, and the governor wants to idle forward and backward a bit, and the tractor will nearly quit, at times, whether with a load or not. Might I need a new governor unit, or an adjustment to the linkage bar, etc? Any help would be appreciated.
