Welcome. I have one of Leons tractors I bought from one of your neihboring copetitors. It has been a good unit. I have the v loader. It has been a good loader.
I think arthr was talking about a Thermostart rather than a thermostat. I have both on my unit.
You guys have sold alot of tractors. I think you have other brands as well? I have tried to tell folks that at least some of these are good tractors. Whoever (Leon) rebuilt mine did a good job. I hope it last 20 yrs.
Thanks for posting!

All:
I wanted to also let you know that John has taken the time to reach out to me outside of this forum since he heard I had had so many issues with my tractor. He did this before his post here. And, as I said before, it's really my problem that I didn't contact him before when I had issues. Why didn't I? Well, between the warranty being up, and all the propaganda I've read here about re-cons, I didn't see why... It's my bad.

John/RCO has offered to support my tractor, working out needs for parts etc. I think, that after two years, and all of this, that's a pretty amazing agreement/committment. I think anyone reading here, wondering about RCO's support, it's pretty clear, and to me, pretty darn good. I only wish I had not been such a fool here and gone ahead and contacted him before....

And, with that said, I'd also like to say, I think that a lot of the recon talk here is a lot of speculation. And, I think there's a dash of propaganda in it as well. If there are so many disgruntled recon owners, where are they? Yeah, I know some will say "we get the calls all the time" but it's your choice to field those calls. Using that fuel here, only makes some people (like me) highly suspicious of my tractor and maybe for no good reason.

I doubt the recon versus uncon debate will ever go away, but i've said all i can say and hope to ever say about it. Either way, enjoy your yanmars, or whatever gray you may have and take care. -art

We always hear the "horror" of a few people that have had bad experiences with the recons. Strangely what we don't hear are the hundreds of people who got a good. It would help the VN image if more of those satisfied people would chime in here and let us hear their experiences. As far as warranty, my hat's off to those dealers who provide one. But if I bought a used Farmall, I wouldn't expect a warranty just like when I buy a used car I don't get one. When I buy these Japanese tractors I don't expect any different. Welcome John and I'll be looking forward to hearing more from you in the future.

I think there is a lot of Horror storys out there with the recons. As even he said there are ones he won't buy from. I believe EFC, and what he has said, about some of the ones they cheat people with. But we get to where we think all dealers that buys and sells them are bad, and of course that is just not true. Just like not all the dealers that sell the used ones, that are sold as used ones from Japan, are good people either. What I'm saying is, there are only a very few dealers that sell them that I would buy from sight unseen, recon or not recon.

Welcome John, good post. Can you answer my question ? Why does the repair shop / your supplier in vietnam roll back/ reset the H.R. meters on these tractors ? Is the prospective buyer aware that the HR. meters have been rolled back / reset on these tractors ?
thanks
