Gladehound--You and I share some similar interests, we both live in Pa, both have Kiotis, and we both live in old stone farmhouses. Ours was built in the 1790's, has walls two feet thick, and can be hard to heat in the winter. Old stone and brick farmhouses are fairly common in this part of Pa. If the walls of our old place could talk it would have some interesting tales to tell.

Oleozz - Heating these old stone farm houses is a bear. Went through 5 cords of wood this year. Didn't use the oil much except for February. Need to insulate the attic. Currently there is no insulation!

Our was built 57 years before this country declared independence, probably some good war history!
