I think you are correct.

I will verify later to make sure.

Just got it home. It is snowy and slippery & rush hour I had 4wd.

It is a very nice truck.

Congrats! We like ours and think you'll be happy with yours. What color did you buy?

I got the silver exterior, and 2-tone silver/dark grey interior.

My 2001 was silver, and it hid the dirt nicely.

I am surprised of no body side moldings for the new trucks. My 2001 had some serious door protection. I am going to buy some touch up paint right away.

Here is a pic of my 2007 F-150 SuperCrew FX4 4x4. It has the 5.4 FFV8, 3.73 LS rear, leather, power sun roof, power rear window, center shift, power seats, sirus, power pedals, heated mirrors, factory bed liner, and steps. I like silver also but don't care much for the black leather and carpet. It shows dirt and especially the girls hair. I wish it had the factory brake controller but it was not a option in 2007, 2008 was the first year in the F-150.

I tow this 7,000# boat about 60 to 70 miles each way to the lake every weekend from late April to early November with no problems plus the occasional trip with the car haul trailer. It has averaged 16.4 mpg with no load and 11 with the boat.

That is good mileage. I noticed mine got 11mpg with the empty horse trailer. Good thing I knew I wasn't buying an econo-car.

Yooper Dave;
Congrats on that truck. Nice one, you'll enjoy it for a long time. Fuel mileage is what it is. It may take a few miles to loosen up and give you some bragging numbers. Towing is something else. It all depends on what you're pulling back there. The worst fuel burning causers are the travel trailers. Too much frontal area. You hope some how some day to see double digit figures then realize it just ain't gonna happen. Empty, at reasonable speeds are better than ever though. That is until you look down and discover you've been doing 80 plus for the last 50 miles. They drive so nice and are so quiet these days you have to concentrate to keep it at speed limit.
Anyway, all the best with it, and may it cause you and your loved ones many happy trips. Merry Christmas and all the best to you and family.

Congrats on your new purchase, I'm looking at 2008 GMC 2500 HD. With GM's Red Tag pricing and rebates, $48,200 MSRP, $34,800 before Virginia sales tax and $299.00 dealer processing fee. Good price or not?? My only drawback is I have 2004 Dodge Quad Cab with hemi (96,000 miles) and was only offered $6,000 for trade. What you guys think??

I think you are getting screwed on your trade. What engine and cab configuration is the GM? Tell us about it.

6.6L V8 Duramax Diesel - 6 Speed Auto Allison, Crew Cab 2500 4wd, 3.73 rear axle. Truck has been setting on lot 292 days according to inventory sheet that dealer printed for me. 17" aluminum wheels. I agree with you on the trade, but really don't what a fair price would be. Dodge is in great shape. No dents, stains, just normal wear and tear. Has spray in bed liner and stainless steel Borla exhaust.

Go to N.A.D.A. Home Page to find out what your truck is worth. That is the problem with the new good deals, the trades are low. They are still trying to get the same margins in the end.

One piece of advise. I had 2 3/4 ton trucks and now buy nothing but 1 tons. If you look hard you can find a 3500 SRW for about $600 more with the same options, at least that is what it was last year. There is a world of difference between a 3/4 and 1 ton SRW and for a little money you will have much more capability with much better resale. Like I said I have had 2 3/4 and 3 1 tons and night and day difference.
