Charles,

WOW, nice suff. Slow down.. you're making the rest of us look bad.
How hard was it to finish the lift kit?

Lift kit was not to bad but the bolts are a little tight. They are made for the Mule which has larger rear shackle bolts (only 1/32" or 1/16") so it's a little hard to get bolts through the rubber.

More photos attached of the finished rear bumper and 2" receiver. Also one photo shows the braces I used to support the bumper. I ended up welding a plate to the rear axle and bolting the bumper to that plate. I look at several ways to clamp to rear tube but nothing looked good and all left bolt ends, tabs & brackets hanging down to get caught on stumps and things.

Rear bumper brace is made of 1/2" x 2" flat bar and bolted with 2 ~ 3/8" x 1 1/2" bolts per side.

All paint work done with Kubota touch up spray cans. They do a real nice job. Just buff steel real clean, wipe with prep-sol, prime with red oxide primer & spray Kubota Gray.

Very nice setup! I spent about 8 hours fabricating and making a nice 2" hitch for my 4X6 Worksite Gator, and then sold it a month later. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I was gonna come up with something for the RTV, but have not had time yet. I really like your version. Very nice! You don't have any additional pictures or plans, or plan to sell them do you? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'll tell you from a guy who generally makes all my own stuff because "store bought" stuff isn't good enough, my comments about your setup is intended to be a compliment for your engineering as well as workmanship!

I'm the guy who actually designed and sold on eBay the "EZ Hitch" or whatever the guy calls it that is being sold on here. Several guys on here saw mine in person several months before the one on here was "invented". /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Anyway, I love your design and workmanship, and I don't steal other guy's inventions, but I would like to come up with one like yours whether it be via buying the product or design from you.

Your welcome to copy my design. I can send you some more details if you like. I built it myself because I really enjoy building new custom things. I started my company 25 years ago and I was the only production welder working for me at the time. Although I'm happy to be where I'm at today I still enjoy welding projects and keeping my welding skills alive. All of what I made was done in my manufacturing shop but I really only used band saw, grinder, mig(wire feed) welder, metal shear & press brake. It took me about 4-5 hours for each bumper so plan for a full day. I don't think I could make any money building and selling these items because we would have to make so many to get the cost down where they would sell. The rear bumper requires welding to the rear axle tube and I didn't want to do that but that was the best way for me.

I'm having a black tread plate tool box made just like you see on pick-up trucks but only 12" front to rear, and then made to fit the RTV bed. That is something that I could sell if anyone needs one. I will post the pictures of that as soon as it's done.

Thanks for the generous comments and let me know if I can help with more pics or specs.

That bumper came out very nice!!

I thought the first buyer pays for all the R&D, setup... I vote for Dargo to buy the first one and I'll buy the second. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Man, you got me there. I'm drooling over his design and work. As Brian knows, I pride myself on my welding and fabricating, and yours looks awesome to me. I've been known for being short with the compliments for some people's welding and fab work, so that means I really like your design and work. Now bczoom, about splitting those costs... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
