I looked at some old ones that had been traded in, or that neighbors had with 500 - 1000 hrs on them and there is movement in the old style too, but I couldn't find any that had failed. The bigger issue was if they had been maintained. Most of the areas you are looking at have grease fittings on them which should minimize any wear if you take the time to give them a shot now and then. It's not an indy race car.

Sparkyca

I can assure you there is no grease fitting or any amount of grease that will fix the rear wheels on the RTV X that we have that has 54 hrs and has only been run on pavement in 2 wheel drive those 54 hrs. My buddy has a RTV 1100 old style check his rear wheels today rock solid no play. Front has a little but not as much as new style.

Just saying!!!

After i saw the 1120D at the our co-op I was kinda thinking of selling my gator XUV and getting one, but not interested in an early model with known defects, so I'm going to add a cargo bed lifter to my XUV and keep it for a few more years. My XUV has a perfect record except for the snow plow, I've bent part of the plow's frame assy on the rocks (twice). Basically talked myself out of a new unit -- and saved a few thousand thanks to this thread.

I doubt these issues will last long, but I'm also one to never buy a first gen of anything.

Should I be looking for this on my 2014 RTV 1140 CPX?

If it's a new model RTV X I would look at the rear and front wheels. I believe it's set up the same way. Better safe then sorry that way you can also continue to use it send see if the wear is getting worse and if it turns into a unsafe condition.

Just my opinion.

I just hope Kubota digs a little deeper on this matter before it becomes another (Firestone Tire) type problem!

I will discuss the issue with them at length, but it would be great to know if they are aware of the issue. I haven't been able to find many comments from owners. I have a 900 that I don't want to get rid if the new 1100 has issues.
Thanks

Ntb: what did you end up doing?

If you took delivery have you experienced anything on the new machine?

I am sure Kubota will address this and fix the problem especially if it's widespread or a manufacturing defect. Kubota has built a strong reputation on their quality and they will take care of their customers.

Just checked our RTV-X1100C, it has the same issue. I am making my dealer aware of this issue as well.
