I just spent a bit of time testing and jumping from machine to machine trying different configurations, and things are working fine, and fast. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif It was also running fine this morning on a dial-up connection. The older the browser, though, the slower it runs. I'm running IE5.5 and even the later release of IE5.5 SP1 runs faster, so that's something to consider just in general.
There could be a router problem somewhere out there, with your ISP or somewhere along the line.
Ooops... I forgot... Harv, you pay the $1000. per month... not me/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
Using Roadrunner{temp...} at work is the NUTS/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif
Using AT&T home, up until 3 days ago extremely fast for V.90/phone connection... Yes other sites are still fast, but not TBN?
Actually AT&T is even faster than AOL, must be less "layers"?
Harv, it could be Muhammad's filter though/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif... Actually, that's a Great Idea to kinda keep some individuals in line.../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif {I hope you're listening Muhammad...}
Now I just know that's a technical term! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
It's still way speedy for me too. At work (Very fat pipe), it's downright startling. But at home (26Kbps when going downhill with a tailwind, or 19Kbps (too typical /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif)) it's still pretty darn quick.
John, like Muhammad suggested, and I would agree, you probably were getting routed through a hub that was pretty much inundated with traffic, or failing. Certain times of the day will overtax some hubs due to the amount of end-of-day traffic etc.
