Wasn't real pleased how my little bench was working out with my new rest... so I built a new one this morning (just needs final assembly after treating it).

OK, these gongs are just hilarious!

Last 2 shots of the day , 2 shots, 2 hits, 6” gongs at 300 yds. Gonna have to dial it in a hair to the left looks like though.

And I'm glad you like them!.. All my gongs have faces..

That's gonna be a huge shooting window!!!

When I built my deer blind, I made it 8x8 with 2x3 windows. If I was to do it again, I would make it smaller because it's impossible to see out both sides. I would also put in smaller windows. I think the deer can see movement inside the blind and the bigger the window, the more they see.

Yes deer tend to keep their eyes peeled at all times, it is their weakest sense so they have to keep the eyes looking everywhere. If it's dark inside, the glass will act more like a mirror, even better if the sun is in their eyes. Since it's been up a while, hopefully they are not too skiddish around the structure this fall. They will get used to it being there.

This one is about 7x9.. I have 2 -2x4 windows, a 2x5 window and a 2x6 windows... Its part deer stand, part fun house, part sniper tower, and just a place to hang out sometimes. I feel the deer don't pay near as much attention as one might think. I see way more deer than I shoot, and I like to play with them sometimes... I'll wave to them, talk to them, make other odd noises just to see what they will do, normally they will stare in my direction for a bit then just carry on with what they were doing. On occasion one will run off but not to often.
And if the windows get to big I can always hang dark curtains or something, but once you make the windows small.. its hard to make them bigger.
