My Dad and I have been looking at Several small HST, 4X4, and w/Loader, tractors. They all list about the same price. The first one is a Mahundra 2015, the second is a new Holland TC21, and a lenar chinese made but not grey market. Looked at kubota, deere, massy, yanmar, and cubcadet, but where not in the price range or dealerships didn't what to be bothered selling the small stuff. We have all these dealerships in town so parts and sevice was not an issue. we are leaning torward the Mahindra but I don't Know any one that has one. One plus was the Mahindra dealer was the most informitive and to seem to know his products. This would be our first tracor and any advice would be helpful.

I purchased a Mahindra 2015 HST with FEL in February, and as of yesterday I have just over 40 hours on it. I've got a Bushhog 60" rear finish mower, and I can mow my 2 acre lawn in just over an hour. I take the loader off every time I mow because I've got alot of trees and shrub to get around, and without the loader I can get a little bit closer. So far I'm extremely pleased with the tractor, haven't had a stitch of trouble. As you probably know, the 2015 is made in Japan by Mistubishi. Its a new model this year for Mahindra, in previous years it was sold by Cub Cadet as the 7205. The only gripe I would have about the tractor is that its hard to see the bucket when digging with the loader. That's a fairly common complaint with that style of loader, the curved arm loaders on the New Hollands have the advantage there. Its not a big deal though, you adapt pretty quickly once you get a feel for it.

I think if you've skimmed through some of the posts in the Buying/Pricing forum, you'll notice a common theme.... dealer, dealer, dealer. Find a dealer you like, and buy what he sells, because most everybody is making a good tractor these days. My dealer calls once a month or so to see how things are going. Service after the sale is more important than saving a hundred bucks.

Good luck with your decision.

The 2015 is good value for the money. The HST is a good move in that unit as it will have live PTO. A good very close comparable to look at in your range would be the Kioti CK20 HST. Don't know if you have a Kioti dealer in your area. Fill out your profile or at least let us know where you're from. As
TBrown noted the Mahindra 2015 HST is a Mitsu build and is mechanically common with the Cub Cadet 7205. I don't personally know anyone that owns either but I've not heard any dirt in their forums on this site. Of the up and coming brands out there I think Mahindra is gonna be a survivor. If you've already got a good dealer in your area that's worth a lot. DMB
