New snow

Where do guys find the cumulative snow amounts for your area. All I can find for anywhere near us is annual averages for a small town about 20km from us.
Howmuchwillitsnow.com. It does a running 6 years of data showing year cumulative as well as dates and amounts for snow events.

Thanks but it doesn't provide information for Canadian cities.

Our temps have swung around to the warm side for the last few weeks and hover around freezing overnight and up to 10* C during the daytime. Shorts weather, lol. I was getting all excited to go camping and fishing again and then reality set in. It's February and this morning the temp is -13*C and we might get a little snow. I still have over a foot of snow on the ground even though we've had rain and sunshine for weeks.

Had a whole week of no snow clearing, ended abruptly last night. Full blown weather advisory, blowing snow, whiteout conditions.

The wind wasn't in my favor. 80 % of the driveway had almost two ft of drifted snow. Four hrs to do the minimum yard and road. Damn near ready to call a neighbor for help. He has a 120 hp New Holland with an eight ft double auger blower. My 1742 felt quite underpowered.

Well we’re into it again, the view on the way home from the dr office. Crazy sunshine and ground drifting.

It blowed hard. Had to swap out the front blade for the bucket. Did a bucket and dump routine for most of the driveway till I got a path through, then I could finish up with the blower. Drove the truck onto a drift.

Thats what we call in Wyoming " concrete drifts" wind blown snow is unbelievably hard.

Crap, pics are sideways, any way to fix this? On hard drifts like those, my Chinee flip flop blade just don't cut it.

We got a pretty good storm yesterday. Blew around so much it's hard to tell how much we got. Predictions were all over - 6 to 14 depending on the exact storm track and how much rain mixed in. We didn't get rain but the start was very wet snow. Weighed down the trees in good shape before it changed to nice powder. A few pics plowing this morning.

We got a storm Saturday too. Started as rain, then blowing snow. About 6" and was a ***** cuz it was heavy and wet and slushy/freezing base. But got it cleaned up and it's sunny today.

Well got a bit of snow moved today, the driveway was thawed so it was going to be difficult to clear without making a mess ended up pushing the back blade backwards, did a decent job.

And then heading up after clearing,

Yeah, hard to tell with high gusts. Someplaces drifted over 21" (height of snowblower) some places only 8" or so. No rain, or wet snow. This year has been all powder so far. Easy to move...

All that snow you should have good water table most of the summer.

Also use the back blade 5 1/2" snow, easier and quicker but not as warm as pickup with plow.
Ah my tractor is as warm as a pickup :)

We got about 6 inches of dense packed powder but with the ground now thawed out, I used the bucket instead of the plow or BB to avoid digging up the driveway. Not quite as tidy a job so I "back bucketed" it to smooth out the mess a bit.

No tractor work today, just picked up some expensive fuel. Piled up some though. 097BD509-F780-40F1-B6E2-7A5AA9C71092.jpeg
