The eBay auction is done, but the birds still need help. Since this was always about the birds and never about the jacket, I'm going to match the $305 on the jacket and send a check to Dudley for Audubon if he will kindly send me his mailing address by PM. I encourage everyone else who can and wishes to help to do the same. The birds and the people of So. Louisiana will surely appreciate anything you care to donate.:thumbsup: We can help make a difference.

The auction is over with a winning bid of $305. I knew that our TBN members would come through and make the auction a success.

Jinman's offer to match the bid with a donation is extremely generous and it will help make this endeavor more successful than I had even imagined. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I will be sending in the donations to the National Audubon Society as soon as they are received and if anyone else wants to make a donation (no matter how small) please PM me for my email address if you want to use Paypal or my mailing address if you want to send a check.

Who would have ever dreamed that a simple Carhartt Jacket would raise so much money for the birds. I'm proud to be a part of TBN and this effort.:thumbsup:

I have received payment of $305 for the jacket from the auction winner and a $305 donation from Jim (jinman).

I have just sent the $610.00 to the National Audubon Society and this along with the donation of $390.00 that TractorbyNet is making equals a total donation of $1000.00.

Thanks to all who bid on this jacket and who made private donations.

Oh, wait that was me!!! Really, I needed a new jacket, beside I had help since I sold the aerator for $300. The tough part was that I *had* to break into my wife's email account... I was able to reset her password for ebay and paypal... This was a lesson I wanted to teacher her... I thought it was a good lesson... until she came home :mur::mur: :mur:

Anyway, the coat is on order... photos to follow... some how, spending 4 hours in a tyvek suit today made me wonder why I bid for it??!?!
