the boom and sheet metal don't look right to me to be a case 580b, im leaning towards an international tractor of some sort. Welcome to the forum!

I can tell you for SURE it is NOT a Case 580B Construction King, because I have one - In fact, I'm pretty sure that isn't even a Case because the loader geometry is totally different; yours has hoses going places mine doesn't, the rear hitch appears to be integral with the tractor (580B has rear "sub-frames" that comprise a "4-point" mount which can accept either a backhoe or an INDUSTRIAL 3 point hitch that has its own 4 valve control (which sits just INSIDE the fender on the right side) and either float or power down, hydraulic top link and side link (but NOT Position control or Draft control) -

The box blade is an older Gannon, I have its twin brother except mine has hydraulic rippers. Good SOLID workhorse implement.

Here's a few pix of Case construction hoes/tractors of that era, note the loader arms - as far as I know, even today's Case hoes use this "backward" linkage - it reverses how the loader curl (AKA tilt) works, so those cylinders are PUSHING to curl. That puts the FULL FORCE of hydraulics into CURL, which gives you a LOT more "breakout" force for digging. I added a pic of the Case 3 point hitch option also.

There's more, but my breakfast's getting cold :licking: ...Steve

To bad you hadn't been able to get a picture of the plate with model on it but it is 100% IHC ,the rear castings look similar to my 434 the block has the IH molded in the picture showing the pump and manifold area .I would guess it is about 1970 vintage .I don't know them well enough to even guess the model of an industrial version .

Closer look ,it seems to be a 2364 D (Diesel) not sure what RR may stand for BUT I can't find anything about it on Google .

One last suggestion ,make this enquiry on Red Power Forum those guys have many years of IHC back ground and are smart several worked for Harvester .

Going to take a wild guess, since it has 344 on the tag, of it being a 3414 Industrial. Plenty of images of the 3414's across the net if you do an image search.

It looks like an updated version of our old 1967 year 3616 IH FEL Backhoe. Find out the engine displacement and that will help you identify the model. It looks to be a mid to late70's model unit. The FEL on our 3616 was rated to pick up 4500# at the pins. The front axle on those industrials are very robust.
It only has a 4 cylinder diesel engine and the 3616 is suppose to have a 6

Do you mean the plethora of acronyms like; FEL, PTO, 3PH, etc...
Yeah! I know PTO as my Yanmar had one and 3 ph is 3 point hitch I believe which on my tractor is used for the ganon but others I've read make no sense to me. Like I said, I'm a nugget when it comes to tractors and can't even remember how the clutch worked on the Yanmar (**** sometimers!)

Ok guys, how long do I hold the glow plug button before I crank the starter? My son said he had to crank it for 5 min. to get it to start after he installed the rebuilt starter so he could load it on a roll off truck to bring it to my house. I'm real nervous letting the starter crank that long and don't want to burn up the starter. I had a starter on a Chevy diesel truck get stuck and keep cranking and it burned up after about 5 min. luckily it was right in front of the service manage and they replaced it under warranty.
