Thanks in pretty happy with the machine and flail mower costs.
I figured I'd try to max the power from hydro-->gearbox at the cost of a few rpm on this first try... And basically make a complete tractor tool carrier with driveline... It should be close and like a tractor, I'll be able to swap gearbox driven tools but have the forward facing geometry handled already.
If I'm not happy with the power(or the China gearbox implodes) , I can power the belts directly with this or a better matched motor....we'll see how my setup works In practice... I imagine I'll ultimately want to direct drive the most common tractor built tools... Brush flail, power rake, mulcher for me.
I'm planning on a short u joint setup from the hydraulic motor to the gearbox. Motor mounted to a 3pt quick hitch... From there I can pick up any 3pt tool.
