Hard to benefit from the cab if you are outside of it running the backhoe.

Thats why I said 75% of the time on it. If 25% is loader work then fine, I get it. Point is with a 110 he gives up the 4000 series cab 100% of the time.

Although I still think you should have went with a cabbed 4x20/485 combo thats a pretty sweet 110. Looks like a great deal too. Congrats! :D

I was looking for a nice 4x20 with a cab and backhoe for a little while. But they were way out of my budget. I doubled (even after I sell mine) what I wanted to pay when I started looking last August. I will be using the BH a ton to start out with, got new vacant wooded land and need to clear a bunch of land. I figured the larger BH, thumb and all the loader hydraulics, and to get it for a lower price, better deal. Maybe 20 years from now or so, when the house is built (not building right away) I'll be upgrading too either a 4x20 or 3x20 with a cab (or whatever the newer model is then). If down the road I can scrap up the money I'd really like to get a Laurin cab like Steve's got and then get a smaller tractor and keep the 110. A cab would definitely be nice, but I've put up with the open station all my life. My next new tractor I get I'll spoil myself with a cab though:thumbsup:

He lives in Michigan after all. Burr...:D

You can say that usually.... but this is the weirdest winter I've ever seen. We've had 3 snow falls that I've actually plowed the drive, and of those 2 of them the snow was all gone in a week, and the last took two weeks. Right now its about 40 degrees out and sunny as can be. Not one cloud in the sky. I miss winter:( I actually enjoy the snow, but tough luck this year.

Sure would have been a lot nicer up here... if we could have shipped at least "half" of what we got this winter down south to you!!

Too much of a good thing this winter...

I really went back and forth on the 4000 cab machine with backhoe, too. On 2 different tractor purchases!

Finally, when you look at the loader and backhoe - side by side - there's no real comparison; between the 4000 and the 110.

One is for light-medium use - the other is HD!

I like the snow, but not sure about your winter!! Half of your winter is probably 2x what we've ever got..

I did think the 110 was much more industrial (maybe the yellow paint:laughing:) feeling then the 4x20 series. Between the all the hydro options and it just being a "bulkier" heavy machine. Don't get me wrong the 4x20's are sweet machines, but for a lot of BH work, don't really compare.

I forgot to mention earlier as well:
Dealer said they've gotten a hold of the trucker. It will be coming on a big flat bed semi, so they need a loading dock, of course! So they will be dropping it off at the local dealer, only about 2 miles down my same road, my dealer was going to check it over, and then they were going to transport it the rest of the way to me. Still no ETA, but said he was going to call back whenever they got it on the truck and down the road. Looking like some time next week though.

Good idea having the dealer check it over

I get what your sayin and maybe I'm just projecting a little. Hate to see you make the same mistake I made via, open station/cab. When i bought my 4105 I thought for sure I wouldn't be needing a cab, wrong.. Costly mistake, set me back $5K+.

You're clearly one of those tuff guys w/os that I hear so much about..:D

Nice tractor! Congrats! Thing almost looks construction grade! What is the lift capacity on the loader compared to the 4000's 400CX loader?

:laughing: I know what your saying. There will be a time for the cab, just don't have the need yet.

I'll be traveling through the woods a lot in the coming years and I'd be afraid of breaking/damaging the glass anyway. If I could have found a better deal on a 4x20 with a cab and BH I would've thought a little more about it, but all I was finding were about $35k and up in good condition and in need of a backhoe, so it really wasn't an option. I know I'll end up with a cab eventually but with the work I'll be doing currently it made more sense to have the bigger backhoe than the cab.

One question for the guru's. I believe I read somewhere that the 110 has SL, hydraulic self leveling I would assume. Is this right? About the only thing I can imagine that would make the 110 better than it is would be for it to have SL.

Thanks Eagle! Just looked that up. States the 110 can lift about 2700 to the 400x's 2400 and the 400cx's 2200. I believe I'm reading that right, confusing the way they set some of these comparison tools up:confused:
