Curly Dave has a 4 in 1 bucket on his 110 and likes it. Curious how much and what it helps you to do. I would like to get a good grapple next for my 110.

A bolt on will definitely be in the mix. I'm going to try and make it last as long it can... and when it gets worn down a 5-10 years down the road, I'll be looking for a 4 in 1:thumbsup:

Well, Martian, I want to congratulate you on getting the 110. Glad you found one. I'm sure it will work out great. I really enjoyed your thread while you were looking. I learned a lot about my own 110 reading that thread. Look forward to the pics of your "new" machine.

1. You should be able pick up the last small bit of a pile by opening the bucket lowering it over the material and closing it. This takes practice. I usually get a bucket of air.

2. I can easily pick up a log or something similar by clamping it in the bucket.

3. Can pick up larger rocks which are frequently hard to get into a plain bucket by opening, lowering over the rock and closing. Have to be careful here, I have chipped the edge of the bucket by clamping too hard.

4. Can clear brush and small trees by lowering the open bucket over the tree, clamping it and lifting up. This is almost fun. I can get trees up to 12 or 13' tall by turning the machine so the edge of the open bucket pushes the tree over until it springs back up between the jaws of the bucket. I can also lift stumps up to about 5-6" in diameter. Cut the tree so there is about a 3' stump so you have some leverage.

5. Open the bucket and back drag with the lower edge of the front part of the bucket. This produces what is almost a box-blade type action, a lot faster than conventional back dragging.

When you're pushing dirt to grade, open up the 4 in 1 as you get toward the end of your push and you don't have to dump the bucket. Just doze out the rest. It's a lot faster.

When the jaws are open the bucket can be used to trim dirt slopes and embankments. Back in the day (before skidsteers were the norm) we used to dig pools with an International 100E equipped with a 4 in 1 bucket. Great for trimming up the walls and the radius at the bottom.

It is truly amazing of what the 4in1 bucket does, had one on a T320 also with a forestry head and that combo was amazing but finally just being used enough at 4800hrs got rid of everything, but with the 4in1 it would just clean up nicely after the mulcher. But looking for smaller (72in) 4in1 for the T190 as also looking for an Ambusher mower too. It's just so nice to have a grapple, bucket, and dozer all in one attachment. Only thing was the leverage on the cylinders bent at least a dozen rods.

Yep, I'm going to keep my eyes open for a nice 4 in 1. If I find a good deal on a used, I might be sucked into it, but I'm not going to get one right away. It would be really nice to have, but since it already has the grapple, it'll wait.

Just got a call from the dealer... It's being loaded onto the truck to come to Michigan as we speak!

Probably be a couple days until it's to the dealer and then with the pace that my dealer usually moves at, (snails are known to beat these guys in races:laughing:) it should be home early to mid next week!

Congrats - I'm sure the minutes will pass like hours the next few days while you wait. Please do post up images when it appears!

I ordered a 4-1 bucket with my 4520, and I've kept my WR Long grapple- it will be interesting to compare how much of my current grapple work I'll be able to do with the 4-1.

They are estimating Friday, so I'll stop by the dealer and get some pictures, and try to hurry them along to get it to my house:laughing:

I do think a 4 in 1 would be very nice, especially with the grapple as well. Be able to grab dirt and gravel that the grapple can't would be nice. If I didn't get the grapple with it, I'd probably be looking for a 4 in 1. Having both, though, is what we call the 'cats meow' around here:thumbsup:
