no reason it wouldn't be stock... tractor is practically new. just turned 60 hrs.

coming from the automotive world, I know its an unequal length setup so there is no way to get rid of the angle change... just a matter of making sure nothing makes contact.

That makes no sense. The top link is a turnbuckle setup and you can vary the length quite a bit (approximately 50-60% increase from shortest to longest if I recall correctly). You can have an implement tilted back quite a bit with the top link fully extended, which means it's gone past being equal-length in the opposite direction from what you are experiencing.

I just measured the top link that came with my L3200, and when fully telescoped, it's way way longer than what's shown in your pictures, and would not allow an implement to hit the rear fenders (in fact, I don't think it would allow that to happen even when at the shortest length). Either you have the wrong toplink, or you haven't telescoped it out as far as it can go.

No, he's saying the geometry is such that the level-ness of the implement will vary over the travel of the 3point.

That's a separate issue and expected. Though technically, it can be alleviated if the links can be setup close to a parallelogram (which would be possible if the difference in implement pin heights could be matched on the tractor, and the top link length dialed in). Normally everything can be adjusted to work.

I have never had an issue with clearance on my L3200 even with the top link short (mechanical or hydraulic), which makes me think that's the wrong top link or it's not extended enough for typical use.

Nor I with my L3940. Never had the link that short though, either.
Land Pride (QH05 Quick-Hitches | Land Pride) makes a light-duty quick hitch that us more rounded on the corners, and that one wouldn't hit. But it shouldn't be required.

Hopefully the O.P. comes back and tells us he's all set now. =)

When the top pin location on the tractor is used, the implement should pretty much move up-down in a parallel motion. The lower pin locations will put that motion into an arc with the lowest pin local at the most arc and the highest lift gain using the top link.

I have seen factory settings put a quick hitch into the fender of several different makes-models of tractors. Sometimes a little caution needs to be taken when operating at extreme settings.

Thanks for the replies.

L3200 HST
1. I've exhausted all free avenues trying to find a manual... I guess I'll have to pay the stealership if I want the HST specific manual.
2. I still havent seen anything more useful then 'learn to feather' on making the FEL controls a little more linear
3. I've seen some threads of guys doing PVC pipes for chain storage etc. Nothing yet on tool boxes or stick tool storage.
4. I have found that hitting the clutch and using the brakes or coasting to a stop instead of using the 'HST brake' makes gear changes much easier. 'On the fly' up shift is almost attainable too... HST flat to the floor (dont lift!), hit clutch , upshift.

QA
1. Bushings are ordered and in the mail
2. I found some pics online related to converting mowers to the JD imatch system and it seems they all follow the same format. Either A) get the HF adapter or B) reconfigure the supports to make the top link fixed relative to the bottoms, then give the trailing supports their own pivot. I'll post when I get this done.
3. After looking at the fenders again, I think I'm going to ditch the factory lights and run a set of LED's.
