New tool

Did buy me an Bosch hot air gun with temp control, wanted blue Bosch but at over doble price it was a little to much for a limited use.

First job is to try to replace some broken IPad an cell phone screen's.

I have a older BLUE Ryobi but now they are green. :confused2:

Blue Bosch it the pro tool, green is the light use and hobby, but it usually beats most of the cheap china power tool with a margin much bigger than the price difference is.

Green Bosch hot air gun really look very attractive but don't know why is the big difference between blue and green color bosch hot air gun.

Hey most times there's no time to fool around when we go out...she's got to get the job done quick!


Overall the Ryobi AG 120OV really is a pretty decent tool with the 2 speed and variable heat control. I don't believe you can buy that particular model anymore.

When I managed the electronic assembly dept. during my old career we had industrial rated Milwaukee branded heat guns with the flat aluminum stand up base for hands free use. The help would leave those units turned on and running all day long thru the entire shift...and sometimes all night too!

Not sure what brand my heat gun is/was. I used to buy a new one almost every year.

When I installed sheet vinyl floors I used it to make the vinyl easier to cut on. It would run on low sometimes, but usually it was on high for long periods of time being pushed around the floor, getting bumped, knocked, dropped and the sort.

I could usually get about a year out of one before it would give in to the abuse and the heating element would break.

Oh well, it gave me a new deduction every year
