Any chance the tractor will be used to load a dump truck?

We bought a used one and it takes every bit of either the Ford or Rhinos 10 foot +- lift to clear the sides of the box to load the box..

This may not be an issue- but if you do haul with a dump truck- it may be .
just thought I would throw this out there - it may not have any bearing on the type of clean up you are doing,

I've visited this site before and I am now seriously looking for a new 2013 end of year sale Kubota tractor. A few people has recommended Kubota due to price wise and less trouble to start in the cold winter.
How do I find out or look for the MSRP on a certain tractor on Kubota website online? I've found one model that I'm particularly interested in and its the M8560 model 2013 with front-end loader, 85hp, pto 76 hp,4WD, no CAB but with all of the standard bells and whistles that normally would come with this particular model. I was told that the MSRP is $45,845 and the Dealer would sell it at $40,845 knocking off $5K. If you calculated in % its roughly about 10% off the listed price. Is this fair and reasonable? I thought it would be or should be at least 15%. If I want to haggle with this dealer how do I approach and how should I start? I don't want the regular size tires that came with the tractor because I have low ceiling chicken houses so the dealer is going to put on industrial tires. Does different tire sizes cost more or less? Here is a pic of the tractor.

I don't know why anyone wold think a Kubota starts better in cold weather than any other brand, but it gets a lot colder here than in AR, and I haven't had any problems with any of mine, and they've been living outside (only another week or so of that left).

You can use the "Build my Kubota" function on their website to get an idea of MSRP for the machine you want, with the options you want. There really isn't a savings at the end of the calendar year, because a tractor made in the end of 2013, but sold in 2014 will be sold as a 2014, not a 2013, and they won't drop the price the way they do with cars that have distinct model years.

As far as price goes, Kubota is typically the second most expensive for whatever size/capability machine you're looking at, so it might pay to consider all your options.

You may wants to start your own thread since you're looking at different machines from what's being discussed here. Good luck finding what you want!

My Kubota don't start any easier than anything else I have, in fact they all need preheat to start easily anytime it is less than 40F.

If easy cold starting is your only reason for wanting a Kubota, then by all means consider anything else.

I've gotta say, this LS (Mitsu) starts easier than ANY other diesel I have/had. Of course my experience (with diesel-machinery) is limited to my Kioti CK20s diesel, my previous Ford CM272 with Shibaura diesel, and my Hustler Z-Diesel with Shibaura as well.

If you want an easy start, buy a gasoline engine. Heat and Cetane are your friends with a Diesel engine in the winter.

Well - after doing more research and checking out other brands. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Mahindra 4035 PST with loader, electro hydr 3rd function and filled tires (standard - not extra like at JD). All for under $27K - Plus I am buying out of state so no sales tax. The Best JD could do on a 3320 was $27K, 3520 was $29500 and on a 4120 was $33K. Since I was not getting the 2nd attachment, I also did not qualify for the 0.0% for 60. The Mahindra is 0.0 for 84 months (no second implement needed) and 5 year/3000hr warranty. Comparing the JD 3320 to the 4035 just on the same price - you get a lot more machine for the same amount of money. I read on the forum that some people believe that Mahindra won't be around and that JD and Kubota will. There is a great article in Bloomberg Business on Mahindra right now. They are number 1 in the world and getting ready to take on JD and Kubota in the US small tractor market. My only concern about buying a Mahindra is lack of local dealer service in the area surrounding were this tractor will be kept and working.

I would say this ^^^^^ is contributable to the better price/deal. Consider you are trying to get some work done and an item fails, how long to get parts, how far to bring machine for the repair etc. Time is money :thumbsup:

You're probably only talking a difference of a couple days at most, how many thousands of dollars is that worth? And I'm not saying that to be argumentative... we probably all have a relative dollar amount that would apply, just like we all probably have a relative dollar amount that applies to the difference between brand names and paint colors in general.

Agreed, I guess what I am saying is least dealerships/inventory on the ground, less cost and then you can sell for less but you will pay in one way or another down the road and you really won't know what that is until it hits
