Since I got my new tractor, word must have spread around the neighborhood. I guess someone thought I needed a new implement? Looks like a strange, experimental disc harrow. I found it in my field, right next to the high tension lines.

Its pretty long, I don't know how I am going to turn it around after each pass. Any ideas on what kind of hitch to use? Its not three point. I don't need a PTO, it has its own engine, with remote start.

Here are the pics of "my" new implement.

Well, by the pics you attached I have little idea what that thing is or if it really is anything. Right off, I would say somebody is playing a joke on you.

I think it is a powerline trimmer. Hangs off a helicopter.

I guess there is a tool for any fool!! My God - like one person said - looks like a good way to meet a pilots wife. That's kind of like running a rear cutter without any rear cover. Its really difficult to understand how responsible people would use something like that or allow it to be used.

The helicopter was there earlier this week, when I was away. I was hoping they would come back today, but the wind is worse than when they quit because of high wind. If they come back tomorrow, I will get you all some pics of the rig in action.

It is indeed a power line trimmer. I've seen them in action, and they DO sling some timber. They're not very neat in cutting, but they do cover a lot of territory in a hurry.
