Hi Kenny,
Great pictures of a great trailer. I bought the same trailer in a 20' version last fall. Haven't done any customizing yet, so happy to see your ideas. Hope they're not copyrighted /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
One problem I have with mine is the ramp/tailgate sliding along its hinge pins and walking to the left as I lower and raise it. Then when I get the ramp up, the retention tabs on the gate hit the retention pins instead of passing over them. What follows is a wrestling match as I try to slide the ramp back to the right so the pins will line up. I've got an idea or two how to fix this. My assist cylinders may be at a slight angle and applying a leftward force as I raise and lower.
When empty my 20 footer makes for a choppy ride in the truck. Have found that a couple hundred pounds of tube sand at the tongue end smooths that out. May not be a factor on yours, especially with that tool box.
Guess I was lucky, it was the first trailer I looked at. Almost bought a couple of others, but then came back and bought the first one. I wince whenever it gets a scrape or ding.
Good luck with that baby.
Bob
