New warranty BX seat!

Hi, Thanks for telling me about the pib notice. I called the dealer that I purchased my b7510 from in palmyra,newyork and he said he was familiar with the pib and he would check into the seat for my particular application and call me back. The next day he called and said he had the new seat and I could bring in my old seat and there would be no charge.My tractor is only two yaers old and has one more year left on the warrenty so maybe that is why there is no charge?Or maybe he figured he wouldnt charge me because of some past problems we had I dont know.But I do thank all of you for giving me this info because I would have never known of this pib any other way. I got the seat today and it is GREAT!!!

The more I think of this, the more I'm disappointed...

Why should I have to pay anything...

I sent Kubota a letter stating the situation of some getting the seat free and clear, and others having to pay...

I just think it's nonsense ..

I realize, that if I buy a new F150 in 06' and the 07's come out with new features, that they aren't necessarily going to upgrade my 06 to the new 07 standards, but if they are going to do it for some, then by Gawd, they should do it for all...

It's great some didn't have to pay... and I can afford the 25 bucks, but they didn't even have the respect to send me a letter telling me that an upgraded seat was available... I'm fortunate to be a member of this site and learn sometimes more info than what is available from the dealer....

Thoughts? Ya think I'm wrong in feeling this way?

I mean c'mon, we paid $12-$15K for these things... It's not like it's a Farm&Fleet MTD special....

I'll let ya know as soon as they call / reply....

For you doubters, look back last year.. they (Kubota corporate) called me back the very next day......

A previous post mentioned the dealer in Palmyra... I had such issues with them a while back - there's a good reason why I drive clear to Alexander for my Kubota love... I'll bet some poor sap just took delivery of a new tractor with a used seat on it - and that's where your new once came from!

I have to agree with fishpick, I wouldnt recommend that dealer in palmyra. I had terrible experience there and probably would have never walked through there door again but some one on this site said you can get a better price on the new seat by going back to the dealer that you purchased the rig from so I did and I wanted to let everyone else know my experience for this particular situation and I didnt want to get to far off track talking about the dealer.But now that you mention it I would not advise anyone to deal there.

I too have a seat from Messick's on back order for about a month. Hopefully it will arrive by Fall. I put it on a credit card and it has not been charged to it yet.

According to our RSM the seats are back-ordered from the supplier and will be delivered to the dealers according to order dates.
If your dealer ordered early in the program, (s)he should receive them soon after Kubota does.
We are patiently waiting...............................................................

Called my dealer today (8/17) and, not surprisingly, he didn't know anything about any seat replacements. He checked the PIB # while I was on the phone and after a few minutes said "Gee, you have to order 6 at a time, I doubt we ordered any."

He took my name and number and said he would call me back. I bet he doesn't.

I called my dealer again - mainly because I need an oil filter - and don't want to make the hour drive twice (one for filter and one for seat)... anyhow - his are not in yet...

But here's the rub... When I talked to him about the seat and ordered it - I asked him about the new welded on supports for the fenders I see on the new BX24's... he told me - not a problem - he will set me up with a support kit when I come get the new seat... GREAT DEALER!

So - tonight - jumping off the tractor - loud POP... I didn't even turn around - knew exactly what it was...

Looks like I'll have a some new fenders under that new seat!
