New warranty BX seat!

Got mine 2 weeks ago, what a difference! No charge by the dealer but apparently they are paying for the replacement seats from Kubota so they won't be chasing people down to replace their seats.

The more I think of this, the more I'm disappointed...

Why should I have to pay anything...

I sent Kubota a letter stating the situation of some getting the seat free and clear, and others having to pay...

I just think it's nonsense ..

I realize, that if I buy a new F150 in 06' and the 07's come out with new features, that they aren't necessarily going to upgrade my 06 to the new 07 standards, but if they are going to do it for some, then by Gawd, they should do it for all...

It's great some didn't have to pay... and I can afford the 25 bucks, but they didn't even have the respect to send me a letter telling me that an upgraded seat was available... I'm fortunate to be a member of this site and learn sometimes more info than what is available from the dealer....

Thoughts? Ya think I'm wrong in feeling this way?

I mean c'mon, we paid $12-$15K for these things... It's not like it's a Farm&Fleet MTD special....

I'll let ya know as soon as they call / reply....

For you doubters, look back last year.. they (Kubota corporate) called me back the very next day......

Got a call from the regional sales representative for Kubota today... He mentioned my e-mail that I sent and proceeded to confirm that the dealers are being charged $25.00 per seat..

It is purely up to the dealer if he passes this charge along. Some don't have enough margins to afford not passing this along... some do.. and in my case I wouldn't naturally expect mine to eat it since, I didn't buy my tractor from them.

He said, some dealers will give free rentals for implements if you buy a tractor, some won't. Some will offer free 50 hr. service, free pickup and delivery, some won't..

He said, they have requirements they must meet to be a Kubota dealer, but we don't dictate they eat charges similar to the seat campaign.

I'm very satisfied with his response as he was very up front and honest.

I did throw in the issue about the abrupt stopping in reverse. He was fully aware of it, but cited the dynamic braking was due to safety??

He even mentioned that they had a very nice support kit developed for my "plastic fenders", and I told him it's already going in Monday for that upgrade...

Once again..I'm impressed and very pleased with my BX2350 purchase...

I ordered a seat from Messicks about a month ago and received an email from them today saying that due to the demand for the seats it will be many months before I will receive my seat. Just wanted to pass this along to anyone else who might have a seat on order.

But at least it IS coming! Not Messicks fault, 'bota should seen this coming and made a lot more, and this is only word of mouth (net) can you imagine if it was a full out replacement for all of them out there!

I've been fussing to Kubota about how slow these are comming. The seat distributor is simply overwelmed and there is not much that can be done. As it stands we seem to be getting a box of 6 about every two months and thats only because I've be calling and getting them allocated. My appologies to everyone, these are clearly comming much more slowly than anyone antisipated.

I was talking to my dealer about the seat, and was inquiring about the armrests to fit the seat, he couldn't find anything on that, anyone know the part # for the armrests to fit the new seat? He is willing to take them off one of his zero turns if they will fit, when my seat comes in. I ordered the seat from Carver and then asked my dealer if he was aware of the program....NO, but at least he is willing to work with me to get the armrests as I'm more interested in them than I am the comfort of the new seat vs the old seat. If anyone has the part #, might be easier than trial an error.

The idea (as reported in many a post thus far) is that you swap the armrests over from your old seat.
