New warranty BX seat!

Ok, the saga continues-- I got an email back from Kubota parts manager and he said:
the service bulletin I was refering to was a one time deal at reduced price that ended June 15th, 2007(ya think) and the seat is now a service part(no kidding) and they have plenty in stock with more in the pipeline and there is absolutely no reason any dealer could not get me a seat pronto.

I emailed back:
he was missing the point, which was, that I had contacted the dealer to get on the list for the reduced price seats and I HAVE NOT GOT ONE YET!!!!

So somewhere, someone is not telling me the whole story here, and I am thinking it is the dealer now because thier bums sure pucker when I mention these seats.

Some days it is just not worth chewing through the leather straps.

I called my dealer a few months back. He was unaware of the issue but I gave him the internal document number and the source of info and he said he had the prairie province rep coming in a few days and he would see. I noted that there were few incidents on the Atlantic seaboard of owners getting a discount on a new seat and one incident that I heard of a significant discount. To date I have not heard back and would think that this is a negative response from the area rep. Admittedly, I have not been diligent in pursuing this, probably to my own misfortune and should get on the phone to him. I actually emailed Messicks, I know thats what you did, when a month had passed and they are no longer taking orders. If worse comes to worse I will just buy one as the piece of art work on there now just has to go.

Same here with the local dealer, he did call the Kubota Grand-Poobahs at Head Office and they told him it was a US only thing. I guess Kubota Corp. figures our Canadian @sses are more naturally padded? They also wanted to know where I got the copy of the bulletin. It's like Kubota Corp doesn't know the internet exists???? They should get on the ball and realize by now that prices paid can be shared instantly on sites like this, regional protectionism is WAAAAYYYYY harder to implement now, if not impossible.

Anyways...

If I wanted to buy a seat locally it would cost over $200.00 I was also "informed" that my model was an "economy" version. I think that was a slight to remind me that seat on it should be "good enough". Sorry, I would have paid more for a better seat if the option was there when I first bought it, and besides for over $30k my butt should not go numb after being on the machine for 30 minutes nor should I feel like I'm on my daughters "slip & slide"!!

I called Messicks after that and got on the list no problem, just wound up waiting more than expected. It was worth it though, that old seat was like sitting on a stump compared to the new one! Can't blame the local dealers for anything though, not their fault that Kubota Corp don't fill them in on what's going on. I'd be on sites like this all the time though, just to make sure I knew what was going on.

Disappointing that a dealer would not bite the bullet to make this right for someone who purchased an expensive piece of equipment. I would keep working my way up the food chain at Kubota until I was sitting pretty. (sorry again).

You know if this wasn't so darn sad (for Kubota's sake) it would be laughable.

I can hardly believe that Kubota has let this thing get so far out of hand. I just keep beating my head aginst the wall at corperate Kubota, week to week and a half between meaningless emails. But hey I keep playing the game.

When I go into the dealer and ask about it they all get up and run around and then nobody says anything but we'll call you when it comes in. To date they tell me they have gotten 3 seats, now this is the biggest dealer in the Grand Rapids area. I have been nothing but understanding when I go in there(no screaming or yelling).

Like I said somewhere someone is not telling the whole story.

I was on my dealer's list since July. Got mine today. Only had some brief seat time, but the improvements were noticeable.

FYI... for those who have orders in with us and still waiting. I got invoices that we've had more ship. It should be enough to clean up the remaining back orders. It will still be several days, but they are comming.

Called my dealer about this few days ago. He called yesterday and said somebody told him the offer had ended but he was trying to find out more info. I hope this has a happy ending.......

I want to say thanks for the seat I bought from you guys for the replacement of the factory seat on my 2350. I sold the factory seat on ebay for more than I paid for the one you sold me. The new seat is a world of difference in comfort.
