Buying Advice New with 35 hours from dealer?

I am looking at a new tractor from a local dealer. The tractor has 35 hours and the dealer says it is hours from starting up and moving around the lot over the past 6 months. He will knock off $200 because of the hours and says the first service doesn't need to be done until 85 hours because it is "use" hours and not on / off hours.

1. Does this qualify as new with 35 hours?

2. Is he correct about the first service being 85 hours?

Sounds like the shadiest type of used car dealer. Run.

If he was selling it as a demo, dropped substantially more than $200 and included the first service in that price I may have been interested, but not after that initial offer.

IMHO, I wouldn't ever contact that dealer ever again.

0-4 hours maybe....35 hours no way. That thing was either used around the dealer to mow or it was sold once.

On second thought, if that dealer is an authorized Kubota deaker, I would contact Corporate and advised them of the dealer's comments regarding the 50 hour service.

Does the dealer have little round bruses on the body? They would be from 10' poles... run forest run.
