Dont know about Kioti, but, my Ford's hour meter runs at half speed while in low idle. It doesnt hit regular hour=hour speed until over 16 or 18 hundred rpm...

That isn't at all unusual.
Many "hour meters" are in fact "Revolution meters" that are appropriately geared to represent hours at PTO 540 speed.
They are "speedo cable" driven and have been since before tractors had reliable electrical systems.
It seems OK to me, i.e. running for twice as long at half the speed may approximate same/similar wear and tear.
OTOH (recreational) boats tend to have "electric clocks" that measure ignition switched on time.

Thanks for all the comments. I've been looking for tractors for the last 6 months, I like the RX6010 on price and features. However, I am a little confused and concerned about the dealers. I contacted two dealers in NH, Maine and NY and only one responded with a quote despite the fact that I called and spoke to each one. The dealer in NH that has the tractor kept saying that 30 hours is new and during the past winter, they would have to start it, warm it up, move it around the lot and that is where the 35 hours came from. He said that they consider 'use' hours and not 'running' hours on maintenance. Seemed fishy to me and the whole Kioti dealer network in NH, ME and NY seems fishy since they don't quote out other prices.

So I guess I am back on the drawing board regarding tractors.

I was going to offer a plausible explanation for the 35 hours... that being that some dealers provide tractors to state fairs, county fairs, etc. for use as parking lot shuttles, etc. They'll often sell them as new, full warranty tractors with a few hours like that, but even so, they are obligated to tell the buyer about it and often do some kind of "fair special" promotion deal. But it sounds like this is nothing like that. I'd keep shopping.

The Kioti hour meters are hours that the engine is running. No allowance for speed or PTO on or anything like that. and no tenths on the meter either. IF it says 35 on the meter that means the engine ran for 35 hours. It is 15 hours away from the needed 50 hour service. The most expensive one. It is up to you to decide if the price is right or not, but in a weekend of use (2 days) you are going to be needing the service, And like the others I don't like the dealers attitude. This "use hours" thing is bull....and you know it. So if the price is what you want to pay, then fine, but just be advised of the upcoming costs.

I put about 330 hrs on it and sold it to my brother n law. It still runs fine.

Just to be clear, 35 hours is nothing, and the tractor is probably mechanically sound. The issue, to me, is the sleazy dealer. It's not a new tractor in any sense.

My tractor had less than 2 hours on it and was on the lot for almost a year. +1 on 35 hours is too much for just a $200 discount. Delaying the first service to 85 hours would likely void the warranty. Sounds like a shady dealer. Don't just run away, sprint!

my fist tractor had .6 hours on it the 2nd had around 2 hours on it that tractor should be discounted at least 1k in my book I would find another dealer I went to 3 in my home town they were not good I went 60 miles from home to buy the tractor it took 4 dealers to find the right one good luck

If he's telling the truth, all his leftovers from last yr should have 35 hrs on them. I'm not thinking they do
