Buying Advice New with 35 hours from dealer?

When I purchased my Kubota B3200 (with 60" Landpride Rotary Mower, 60" belly mower, and FEL) it had 50 hours on it and I picked it up for 10K less then new price It barely looked used. I can tell you that even 1 hour of driving one of these tractors around is ALOT of driving. Most Kubota dealers that offered demos only offered to let me drive the tractor around the lot for a few minutes or take it over to a dirt pile and let me scoop some dirt, which only took about 5 minutes. This sounds more like a Tractor that someone purchased, used, and then probably failed to make payments on so it got repoed by this dealer. If the guy had said this to me, I would probably buy it, that is if he knocked off several grand and discounted the 1st service. If not then I would agree with most everyone else and say keep searching my friend.

35 Hours? tractor is "used" price should reflect that.
Couple grand off, and 50 hr service included at min.

Or a couple grand worth of implements plus the 50 hr service.

But yea sounds like a sleazeball.....

35 hrs, my guess is the dealer rented it out. Unless price was a deal you couldn't refuse I wouldn't want to purchase anything from this dealer. However, could it be the salesman that was looking for a big payday and not the owner/management?

Thank you everyone for your comments. Contacted two more Kioti dealers and spoke to both on the phone and after three days neither responded. So I'm finished with Kioti.

The 35 hour dealers comment about first service at 85 just seemed wrong. He was going to knock off $200 - no thanks.

On a whim I dropped by a Deere dealer and liked the 5065e. I liked the dealer and he seems honest.

My dealer ordered my tractor in May '12, and I bought in April '13. Lots of folks tried it out no doubt. It had 8 hours at delivery. I think your dealer took that one home and used it a few times. I concur, run!

slaken, I bought a 5055E this year. The tractor was a rental return from my Deere dealer. It had thirty hrs on the clock. Deere does sell them as new, with a full warranty, and any 0% ect. offers, just like a non rental. I guess the big difference between their deal and your other deal, was they told me it was a rental.

I saved thousands as a result.
I do recommend the 5E tractor. I'm very happy with mine.:thumbsup:

If the hours are from just moving it around, that is worse that work hours for a diesel. $200 off with 35 hours. Tell the dealer you want to order a brand new one from the factory and you'll gladly pay the extra $200!

Bet he'd come up with an even lamer excuse why he couldn't do that.
