I'm with Bird. I bought a 5x8 single axle from Home Depot for $599. I use it behind my ATV for hauling stuff, and it's big enough to haul the ATV in for repairs if need be. The brand is Haulin'Ass...with the word Haulin' followed by a sketch of a mule. Pretty rugged unit. My wife, who backs up until it sounds expensive, has run into, over and through several obstructions (like the corner of the house!) with it and done no damage to the trailer.
HD also had a less expensive model with a plywood deck, but with me hauling logs I opted for the one with the decking lumbers.

I'll definitely be hanging out here. Way to much good info shared to miss out. Thanks for the input on trailers. I'll check out Home Depot and see what they have. I'll also try and post some pics of house/property & tractor after she's delivered.

I can't tell you how much this site has helped me, I too just got a 2410 and FEL, now with 3.9 hours on it. As I have said before, if brain surgeons have site like this, transplants can't be far off.

Hi all,
Taking delivery tomorrow! Weather is supossed to be nice here in Mass (60 degrees), wife is gone for the day, AND I've got a big pile of wood already cut and split to move for my first chore. So I've got the day to get some practice on my new toy before winter gets serious here and the snow starts to fly. So how am I supposed to sleep tonight :>?

Barnett; congrats on new tractor, u should have it by now and put in a full day of work on it. how did u like it? one thing tho, u got to quit saying your playing with your new toy, u have to wipe your brow and make like your working hard.then the boss will feel sorry for u and tell u it is ok to get more attachments to make your hard work easier!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Tractor was delivered 10:30am yesterday. I think my father in law was more excited than I was :>. He wanted to see it too. He's got a lot of experience with tractors, etc from his job maintaining town water supply. He was actually the first one in the seat! We spent about an hr with the guy just going over everything. He was very helpful. My father inlaw was very impressed with the Kubota. I noticed although there is a cap to protect the rear PTO when not in use, there isn't one for the mid mount PTO shaft that drives the blower? When I asked if it was missing the guy said there isn't one?
I spent the rest of the day getting used to her. I drove out into the woods and split a bit more firewood then loaded up and hauled 5 buckets full back to the house. I put almost 2 hrs on the clock. My wife got home just after I finished. I had just put the tractor in the barn. All she said was nice, can't wait until spring when we can get the backhoe!
I spent the rest of the day getting used to the implements. I took the FEL off and attached the snow blower. Also straighened out the quick connects on the hydraulic lines from the snowblower male quick hitch, as they were slightly kinked. Finished up by reading thru all the manuals last night.
The only thing I didn't see were steps to install implements. It took me a bit to figure out how to remove the FEL and especially how to attach the male quick hitch for the front mount snow blower. I lifted this on by hand. In hind sight I guess I should have attached the piston & lines, lifted it up then put the pin thru? Also the pin that attaches the male mount to the frame wasn't long enough to let me get the securing bolt thru. I ended up C clamping both sides of the hitch to the frame and then was able to get it. I know I could have done it better/quicker if I had the steps in some sort of logical order.

We are going through the same thing with the mid pto on my B7500. The dealer says they don't make a cover for it. We have gotten some responses from the larger tractor owners that theirs do have covers. I guess I'm gonna try to come up with something that will work.
As far a disconnecting your fel, you should have gotten an owners manual for the tractor and an additional manual for each of the implements you bought. If you don't, call the dealer. I removed my fel for the first time and this is how I did it. All of this is best done on level ground.
Romoval:
1. Put the bucket on the ground and roll it forward enough so you can get the storage legs on the side put into position.
2. Put some pressure on the bucket to lift the front of the tractor off the ground slightly (takes any pressure off the pins) and pull the pins. They should come out by hand. if they don't try it again until they do.
3. Roll the bucket back which will lift the fel out of its mount.
4. Shut off the tractor, move the fel lever all around to relieve pressure and disconnect the lines. Put all of the dirt caps in place.
5. Drive away/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Reattach:
1. Drive up to the fel getting the fel into its mounting bracket.
2. Turn off the tractor and reconnect the hydro lines.
3. Start the tractor and roll the bucket forward to lower the rear of the fel into its seated position. Lift the front of the tractor slightly to fully seat it in its brackets.
4. Reinstall the pins, raise the storage legs and your done.
