Newbie Intro - ZTR or CUT??

Hmmm . . . PowerTrac . . . I have lusted after one of those. I'm reasonably mechanically inclined and would be a candidate for ownership. I've considered the PT425 w FEL, 60" FM, and a Tiller. Too bad it's outta my price range at the moment, but I do think that would be ideal for my situation. With my luck I'll probably end up with used utility tractor and the ZTR unless I win the lotto.

I opted for the 422 to save some $$ and get a few attachments.....so far so good. It's a bit of a pain to work on when changing oil, etc due to a lot of things cramped into a small area. The bucket will go on tonight to fix some wash out on our dirt lane from all the rain we've had lately....and if it stays light long enough the mower deck will go on to cut the grass...but then I guess it will rain before I get home and nothing will get done LOL! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I don't regret the $$ spent, probably would have spent close to that if I had purchased a good ZTR and a used FEL anyway /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Keep in mind that a mmm mower for a CUT can be $2000 and up, and the ZTR will do a better/faster job. If it was that cheap I would keep it and get a tractor too. The ZTR is only costing you $3K or so when you consider your tractor won't need a mower attachment.

I'm with the others in that you may need both. IF you want to sell the Exmark, let me know - I'll give you what you're paying for it!
I have a BX22 with MMM - Love it, but back surgery has made it more difficult to deal with removing and installing the MMM. I am thinking of switching to ZTR for mowing and dedicate the tractor to loader work, tilling, etc. - maybe even get a larger tractor /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
