Re: newbie ?\'s on a B2150

www.northerntool.com has a fair number of parts for 3pts including the drawbar you were looking for. They also have a middle buster, a sub-soiler(single tooth ripper), and a middle buster/sub-soiler combo. First two under $100, 3rd is about $130. I have a middle buster and can remove the blade to get it to function as a sub-soiler. The sub-soiler is great for cable and the middle buster is better for 3"+pipe. If you want a deeper trough get a combo because the arm is longer.

Re: newbie ?\'s on a B2150

If jdrotert doesn't end up getting the drawbar, I'd be interested in it as well for my B2150. Especially if you are in the Southeast US. You can email me via the links on this board if your first contact doesn't work out.

Thanks,
Kelvin

Re: newbie ?\'s on a B2150

jdrotert,
You don't mention in your profile where you are located. Here is some food for thought:

The Knoxville TN Kubota dealer (www.tennvall.com) has a used B2150 trencher for sale on its lot. I know that they are very expensive new (over $3000?) and I don't have any idea how much he was asking. Since I don't have a real need for one I've never really seriously asked; I did joke around one day that if it was less than $1000 that I might be interested and I'm pretty sure that the response was along the lines of "the price is above $1000".

Re: newbie ?\'s on a B2150

Kelvin,
I checked their site. All they list is a B2150HDT tractor with mid-mount mower. Is this "trencher" you're talking about really a 3PH backhoe? BTW, I've been trying to get in contact with FRED.G for the drawbar, but it seems that he's not registered. I cannot find a profile.

Re: newbie ?\'s on a B2150

jdrotert,

The www.tennvall.com site only lists a few tractors for sale (no specialized used equipment that can remember). I was giving you the site address so that you could get the address and phone number as required. They do have a B2150HSD with mid-mower there that seems to be a good deal.

The trencher they have is a real heavy duty looking 3-point hitch model for the B2150 (with all the associated auxiliary hydraulic line hookups for the B2150). I'd guess that the asking price would be in the $2000-$2700 range but I really don't have a clue. If you were going to pay that much to have the work done then it might be worth considering the purchase of the trencher.

As far as Fred goes, the profile isn't available until he registers. I haven't heard anything from FredG yet either. I don't have a immediate need for the bar since I have a Reese-type 2" receiver welded onto my older B7100 that works great for moving trailers and such. I would like to have one if I could pick one up at a reasonable price but don't want one bad enough to pay full retail for a new one. That's why I was suggesting that if things don't work out between you and Fred then I'd be interested if he were in the same part of the country that I'm in.
